Many of us often have to deal with the expiry of the food. However, there are foods that can also be consumed long after the date indicated acceso the package. Remember to prolong the soaking times if you cook them after a long storage period.

Other foods not to be underestimated

The salt and sugar are two foods that never expire, thanks to their hygroscopic properties that inhibit the proliferation of bacteria and mold. Honey is also a food that can last indefinitely, maintaining its organoleptic characteristics. Finally, canned tuna and coffee can be consumed even after the deadline, provided that they are preserved appropriately, far from sources of heat and light.

Tips for correct conservation

To ensure the safety and quality of food, it is important to follow some simple conservation rules. Make sure to store food per hermetic containers and keep them per a cool and dry place. Check your pantry regularly to avoid the formation of insects mold. Finally, do not forget to always inspect the packs before consuming a food, especially if it has been kept for a long time.
