There are 305 wines from heroic viticulture awarded during the 32nd Mondial des Vins Extrêmes, the only global wine competition dedicated to those who grow viticulture the mountains, steep ora terraced areas and acceso small islands, organized by CERVIM – Research Center , Studies, Protection, Coordination and Enhancement for Mountain Viticulture. A record-breaking edition that just ended which saw the participation of over 1000 labels from 356 companies from 25 different countries. The tasting commissions, which met Sarre (Aosta) acceso 29 and 30 September and made up a total of 50 wine technicians, oenologists and expert tasters from all over the world, awarded 64 Grand Gold Medals and 241 Gold Medals. Of note is the return to the competition of Bolivia, absent for a few years, which also won a medal.During the two days, some Special Awards were awarded dedicated to nations, wine categories and producers who stood out for the recognition they received . The Special Prize, reserved for the best winery by country, for Italy went to the Cave des Onze Communes of Aymavilles (AO); two awards for the Pantelleria DOC Sentivento 2017 wine from Prosit Club Agricola ARL of Pantelleria (TP), awarded an Excellence Award and the Piccole Isole Award; the Cervim Avvenire Award to Giacomo Rallo of Rallo Estates SRL Soc. Agr. of Marsala (TP) and the Domestica Cervim Award to Margherita Longo of the Hibiscus Agricultural Company of Ustica (PA).

At the same time, the fourth edition of the Extreme Spirits International Contest took place, an international competition dedicated to distillates from pomace, lees and wine which also aims to enhance the respective production areas. The results obtained were excellent: 8 Grand Gold Medals and 25 Gold Medals were awarded among the 76 competing spirits from Italy, Switzerland, Peru and Spain.
