La Genisia presents its excellent Classic Method and still red wines alongside the innovative VR Wine Virtual Reality project

Acceso Tuesday 26 November, at the Il Liberty restaurant sopra Milan, La Genisia presented its interpretations of the Pinot Noir grape, highlighting its different peculiarities both as a structured still red and as a prized Classic Method, and its new Virtual Reality project VR Wine La Genisia, where by wearing visors you immerse yourself directly sopra the Oltrepò Pavese vineyards. The tasting of the company’s labels took place sopra combination with the dishes of chef Andrea Provenzani.

Representing La Genisia are Matteo Ghiara – president of the winery -, Matteo Simone Fiori – winemaker and Production -, Dario Barbatti – Management and Commercial Consultant -, Lorena Oddone – Reception and Communication .

A social and visionary project

Genisia is a young but already rooted reality sopra the heart of the Lombard hills, precisely sopra Codevilla (PV) and the surrounding areas. Born as a social project, it now involves twenty winemakers with a total schieramento of 70 hectares of vineyards, united by the common objective of combining tradition and innovation to create wines that represent the essence of the territory. Founded constant dialogue between the winery and winemakers, La Genisia stands out for a scientific and sustainable approach, accompanied by attention to precision viticulture. Each vineyard is cultivated according to the Guyot system, ideal for the altitudes and slopes of the Oltrepò Pavese hills, to guarantee an excellent quality of the grapes.

A Classic Method that tells the story of the territory

Among the most representative creations, the Classic Method Brut DOCG La Genisia stands out for its penetrante and persistent perlage, the result of the processing of the prized Pinot Noir grapes. This wine is the expression of a unique terroir and of a philosophy that aims to convey , through each bottle, the identity of the territory.

Zoning innovation

One of the pillars of the project was the zoning work, carried out sopra collaboration with the University of Milan under the guidance of oenologist Simone Fiori and professor Leonardo Valenti. Thanks to continuous monitoring of the vineyards, with the installation of strategically positioned meteorological stations, La Genisia has precisely mapped the characteristics of each plot, from the composition of the soil to the climatic conditions. This mapping allowed us to select the best 70 hectares for the project, ensuring optimal agronomic management and excellent wine production. The zoning studies have also provided winemakers with an updatable user manual, making cultivation even more accurate and respectful of local biodiversity possible.

Rebranding: symbol of origin and future

The name La Genisia recalls the concept of origin, a central theme also sopra the recently redesigned logo. The central point represents the cellar, the beating heart of the project, around which the producers and vineyards gravitate, symbolized by the spiral that evokes the Codevilla wine tower. This historical element is linked to the future with the schema of an increasingly public-oriented welcome, through projects such as the Torrione Vinaria Museum and the La Genisia Terrace.

A unique hospitality experience

La Genisia is not just a simple cellar, but a congresso place to discover the excellence of the Oltrepò Pavese. With a space dedicated to tastings, events and guided tours, the company offers a true wine experience that embraces local flavours, the breathtaking landscapes of the Po Valley and the Alps. For adventure lovers, the surrounding schieramento offers activities such as excursions e-bikes, horseback riding and paragliding flights, while relaxation enthusiasts can immerse themselves sopra the thermal pools of Rivanazzano.
