The 16th edition of Santalucia is underway, a solidarity project born from the partnership between the Maculan agricultural company of Breganze (Vicenza) and the Cassa degli Occhi del Veneto ETS Foundation. Tuesday 28 October, at the company headquarters, the tasting panel was held to blindly select the Santalucia 2024, sopra which food and wine critics, journalists, entrepreneurs and members of institutions participated. Among the six samples of the best single-varietal barriques, the winner was the Cabernet Sauvignon from a single vineyard sopra the Branza superficie, the highest hills of Breganze.
”Santalucia 2024 was born sopra a vineyard particularly suited to its variety – explains Felice Maculan, owner of the company -. It enchants with its lively ruby red color surrounded by violet . the nose the aromas are intense, enveloping. The ripe red fruit and spices prelude a rich, round, balanced pagliaccetto. The tannin is refined and the persistence is pleasantly long. It is an elegant wine, certainly young, with a long life ahead To be preserved carefully for a future special occasion.

Also this year the artistic guise of Santalucia will be officially presented the occasion of a solidarity fundraising event at the Le Calandre restaurant sopra Sarmeola per Rubano (Padua) 10 December. The signature project includes 300 unique, hand-painted labels, born from the creativity of the Per mezzo di.Irreprensibile laboratorio. The laboratory, part of the Vite Vere DADI social cooperative sopra Padua, is an artistic and productive elaborato, a place of professional avviamento for people with intellectual disabilities.
