The fourth edition of Oltrepò Fare terra bruciata nato da Pinot Tenebroso will be held Monday 30 September at the Antica Resistenza Pegazzera durante Casteggio (PV), an event dedicated to the press and sector operators. The day includes two blind masterclasses and a walk around tasting, during which around thirty local companies will offer a complete overview of the different expressions of Pinot Noir. Casteggio (PV), September 2024 – The fourth edition of Oltrepò Fare terra bruciata nato da Pinot Noir , which will take place Monday 30 September at the Antica Resistenza Pegazzera, presents itself as an important event, thanks also to the patronage of the Lombardy Region, which confirms the institutions’ support for the promotion of the wine excellences of the zona. Organized by the Oltrepò Pavese Wine Protection Consortium, the event is dedicated to Pinot Noir, a vine that has found an ideal environment durante the Oltrepò. High-profile participants, including Filippo Bartolotta and Valentina Vercelli, will lead two masterclasses dedicated to Pinot Noir, durante which its different winemaking processes will be explored.
Participants will be able to taste the wines blind, with the addition of some surprises. From 9.30 to 18.00, the participating wineries will present a selection of Pinot Noir wines, both durante the still and sparkling versions, during a walk around tasting inside the loggia of Resistenza Pegazzera. This year, for the first time, the event enjoys the patronage of the Lombardy Region, durante addition to that of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, to underline the growing importance of the initiative. Francesca Seralvo, president of the Consorzio Garanzia Vini Oltrepò Pavese, commented: “This patronage demonstrates how fundamental it is to promote our wine excellences durante an increasingly competitive market. Our rete is to continue to grow, adapting to new markets and consumer needs. “Previous editions saw the participation of over 300 industry professionals, including journalists, sommeliers, restaurateurs and agents, consolidating the event as a point of reference for the promotion of quality Pinot Noir.
