Back IGT Toscana La Turcasso: the wine that invites you to stop, breathe and find balance

Sopra the most authentic folds of the Tuscan Maremma, where the landscape still preserves a rare balance between wild nature and agricultural culture, the La Turcasso project takes shape. Here Dietro IGT Toscana is born, a wine that goes beyond the simple oenological expression to transform itself into a concrete invitation to slow , breathe and rediscover a more aware dimension of time.

A wine as a philosophy of life

The name Back already contains the key to understanding: stop, observe, respect. It is a declaration of intent that fully reflects the vision of La Turcasso, founded three essential pillars — respect, authenticity and sustainability. It is not simply a matter of producing wine, but of safeguarding an ecosystem, enhancing every element that contributes to its harmony.

The vineyards follow the Biopass protocol, a practice that guarantees soil health, biodiversity and a fully traceable supply chain. Natural hedges, spontaneous flowers and surrounding woods are not decorative elements, but integral parts of a living agricultural system, where every intervention is calibrated to the rhythms of nature.

The Bordeaux blend that interprets the territory

Dietro IGT Toscana comes from a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, varieties that find ideal conditions per the Maremma to express depth and character. The harvest is manual and selective, conducted between the end of September and the beginning of October, to ensure that only the best bunches reach the cellar. The winemaking is taken care of per every detail: fermentation per barrique, long maceration the skins (20-30 days) and spontaneous malolactic fermentation per French oak. This is followed by aging for 12-15 months per second passage barriques and a further 12 months per the bottle.

Tasting agenda

Visual examination: ruby red colour.

Olfactory examination: it is dark and deep with spices, pepper, black fruit, blackberry and some balsamic touches.

Taste-olfactory examination: the first impact is marked by softness, well supported by a pleasant flavor; smooth tannins and good persistence.

Pairing: excellent with red meat, , mature cheeses.

An invitation to contemporary slowness

Sopra a production context often oriented towards speed and standardisation, Dietro represents a choice against the current trend. It is the concrete translation of an agriculture that listens, waits and gives back, without forcing. Each bottle tells of the patient work per the vineyard and per the cellar, but above all a precise opinione: quality does not arise from acceleration, but from respect for natural times. With this wine, La Turcasso proposes a clear and coherent vision: finding balance is not a luxury, but a necessity. And it can also start with a glass.
