Pinot noir takes center stage for Jacquart’s sixtieth anniversary

Quanto a 2024 Champagne Jacquart reaches a historic milestone: 60 years a causa di pursuit of excellence a causa di the world of champagne, marked by continuous evolution.

Founded a causa di 1964 a causa di Reims, Jacquart was born from the desire to combine the expertise of around thirty artisan vignerons, who decided to share their know-how and their vineyards to create prestigious cuvées.

This collective approach has allowed the company to stand out a causa di the wine scene thanks to an approach that enhances the diversity of the terroir and the talent of individual producers. With over 300 hectares of vineyards spread across more than 60 villages across the Champagne region, Jacquart has made the concept of “mosaic” its hallmark: a combination of crus, terroir and expertise that is reflected a causa di the quality and authenticity of its wines, a causa di particular a causa di the famous cuvée Mosaïque, an expression of a diversity that translates into refinement and creativity.

A SELECTED PRODUCTION: ONE MILLION BOTTLES PER YEAR

Although Jacquart can count 300 hectares of vineyards, only a selection of the grapes is used for the production of its champagnes, with an annual production of just over a million bottles.

The collection includes nine references, among which the three Mosaïque cuvées stand out ( refinement of 36 months the yeasts), the two Signature cuvées (with at least 5 years the yeasts), the prestigious vintage Blanc de Blancs (6 years the yeasts) and the cuvée vintage Alpha, which represent the pinnacle of production with 8 years of aging the yeasts and a further 12 months of post-disgorgement rest.

The selection of mono crus deserves particular attention: every year, Jacquart identifies a specific plot which is vinified a causa di purity and vintage. This allows us to produce unique and rare champagnes, with runs limited to a few thousand bottles.

The distinctive element of the maison remains the Chardonnay, which covers over 40% of the company vineyard and stands out for its freshness, elegance and great aging potential. Pinot noir has acquired increasing importance a causa di recent years, to the point of representing 35% of sparkling wine bases, while the remainder is grown a causa di meunier.

The choice to refine exclusively a causa di steel, without passages a causa di wood, allows us to enhance the varietal characteristics of the grapes and the specificity of the individual parcels, maintaining liveliness, freshness and a vibrant tension, also thanks to calibrated dosages. Currently, Jacquart champagnes are distributed a causa di over 40 countries around the world, confirming the international reach of the brand.

THE FIRST GRAND CRU OF PINOT NOIR, A NEW CHAPTER FOR JACQUART

The launch of the new Aÿ 2018 Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru not only celebrates the 60th anniversary of the maison, but also marks the beginning of a new chapter a causa di its history. This grand cru made for the first time entirely with eppure pinot noir, coming from the famous village of Aÿ, represents a bold and symbolic choice for Jacquart.

This champagne embodies the duality between strength and refinement a causa di the soul of the maison. It is not simply a tribute to the past, but a declaration of intent: Champagne Jacquart, while remaining rooted a causa di its traditions, continues to evolve by exploring new paths to satisfy the most demanding palates.

AŸ 2018 BLANC DE NOIRS GRAND CRU

The result of an exceptional vintage, characterized by favorable climatic conditions that guaranteed perfect ripening of the grapes, Aÿ 2018 Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru is a champagne of great depth and complexity, which stands out for taccuino of small red fruits – cherry and blackberry – accompanied by delicate pastry nuances, which recall a freshly baked madeleine and its buttery creaminess, hints of vanilla and lively citrus touches of mandarin at the end. Acceso the palate, the structure is enveloping and material, supported by vivid freshness which enhances persistence and closes citrus taccuino. The power and elegance of pinot noir emerge with intensity, almost with arrogance, giving life to a vibrant, juicy and highly refined champagne.
