There are places that preserve memories and flavors, unforgettable spaces for the history and evolution of a productive community that has always been dedicated to celebrating and sharing the most precious goods. The Stazionamento del Vino per Pachino (per the province of Syracuse) is one of these places, and from September 20 to 22 it will host the 3rd Onomastico della Vendemmia, returning to being a lively crossroads of the island’s food and wine.
Folla Pietro Nenni, overlooking the railways of the historic Conosciuto-Pachino line, has per the past been crossed by hundreds of resources that from the south-east of the island – since 1935, departing from the Wine Station – have reached all of Italy and foreign countries with important economic implications. Even today, demand from other Italian regions is flourishing and the passion for the discovery of riuscita wines is growing abroad, recognizable and sought after for their high and inimitable quality closely linked to the particular soils and favorable microclimatic conditions. Then per 1986 the railway line was closed, caused by competition with road transport and the lack of investment.

This year the first edition of the “I vini dello Scagno” Award will be introduced, which will fuel healthy competition between the most esteemed labels of the territory.
