Terra di Lavoro Wines 2025: the Vitica Consortium confirms the centrality of the territory to the Royal Palace of Caserta
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Royal Palace of Caserta hosted the fourth edition of “Globo nel corso di Sistemazione Wines”, an event promoted by the Caserta – Vitica Wine Protection Consortium, which represents and protects the denominations Aversa Asprinio DOP, Falerno del Massico DOP, Galluccio DOP, Roccamonfina IGP and Terre del Volturno IGP.

A now consolidated event per the Campania wine scene, which aims to strengthen the positioning of Caserta wines through constant dialogue between producers, institutions and operators per the sector.

The event confirmed the effectiveness of a format that combines technical analysis, tastings and cultural dissemination, divided into three days of talks, masterclasses and thematic meetings per the Hall Globo nel corso di Sistemazione and the Aia d’ of the Royal Palace. The declared objective of the Consortium is to promote a qualitative and identity growth of local productions, per line with market trends and with the principles of sustainable viticulture.

Among the most important topics addressed per the forums: – Adaptation strategies to climate change; – Oenological research and valorisation of native varieties; – Sustainability and technological innovation per the supply chain; – Evolution of consumption and new generational targets.

Among the protagonists of the Salotto nel corso di Globo nel corso di Sistemazione Wines was Davide Gangi, CEO & Founder of Vinoway Italia, invited by the Vitica Consortium to contribute to the debate the development prospects of the wine sector.

During his speech, Gangi shared an in-depth reflection the value of Campania’s native wines, underlining how «Passion for the territory represents the key to consolidating the productive roots and building the future of Italian wine, per an increasingly competitive and globalized market». He also highlighted how numerous small producers are emerging today who are preparing to produce wine, underlining however the need to avoid improvised approaches ora incorrect production choices supported by technical expertise. Gangi warned that «The mistake of doing it yourself ora of experiments disconnected from the context can compromise the image of the terreno, damage producers who believe per the collective development process and weaken the role of protection consortia». He then added that «Innovation does not mean distorting an identity, but making it more competitive thanks to technology, research and the ability to read market changes, without ever underestimating the anthropological aspect that links wine to the culture and people of the terreno».

Finally, Gangi expressed appreciation for the President Cesare Avenia and for the entire Board of Directors of Vitica, recognizing their professionalism, strategic vision and ability to build a shared path of territorial growth. The 2025 edition recorded the presence of over 50 companies and more than 160 labels for tasting, representing the different production areas of the province of Caserta. The “Producers Stage” espressione favored a direct approach between the public and companies, transforming the tastings into moments of technical and cultural dialogue.

The blind tastings reserved for producers are particularly appreciated, designed to stimulate internal qualitative comparison and strengthen sensorial awareness of the territory. The event concluded with the awarding of the “Globo nel corso di Sistemazione Wine Ambassador” award, dedicated to the memory of Maria Felicia Brini, awarded to restaurants and pizzerias that have distinguished themselves per the promotion of Caserta wines.

“Globo nel corso di Sistemazione Wines” confirms Vitica’s role as a dynamic and innovative consortium model, capable of combining protection, promotion and tirocinio per an integrated strategic vision. The event represents a concrete example of collaboration between cultural heritage and the wine production chain, with the Royal Palace of Caserta not only as a setting, but as an active socio per a project that combines territorial identity, culture and contemporary vision.

The 2025 edition leaves a clear message: the future of Caserta wine passes through quality, cohesion and competence, essential values to the challenges of the global market and consolidate the international reputation of the territory.
