Over one hundred and thirty artisan wine producers, tastings, workshops, food trucks, music, artistic performances and a fascinating context. These are the seductive ingredients of the thirteenth edition of Terre proveniente da Vite, scheduled for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October con Bomporto stratagemma Gorghetto n. 92/100, con the province of Modena, inside the historic Villaggio Cavazza – dalla Quadra.
The event offers the rare opportunity to taste a thousand varieties of wines produced using artisanal methods. Barolo, Traminer Odoroso, Vernaccia, Cesanese, Aglianico, Cirò, Ribolla Gialla, Chardonnay, Albana, Barbera, Dolcetto, Merlot, Pinot , Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo, Aleatico, Moscato, Botticino, Vermentino, Schiava, Sauvignon, Bonarda, I’m just some of the wines to choose from.
The absolute protagonist of the event will be a large and qualified representation of winemakers who combine product quality with respect for peasant traditions and the rhythms of nature, applying traditional and sustainable cultivation methods, refusing the use of synthetic chemical products such as pesticides herbicides , and enhancing native vines and ancient agronomic practices.
The underlying theme of the thirteenth edition is creativity as a natural expression of the territory of origin of the wines, of the landscape that is told with its contours and colours: a trait d’union that will unite the seminars, guided tastings, exhibitions and artistic performances which will liven up the two days. The winemakers present appena che from all over Italy, representing eighteen regions, with some crossing over into France and Germany, and will offer their artisanal wines for free tasting.
“Since the first edition, con close collaboration with Roberto Giuliani, director of the online magazine Lavinium www.lavinium.it, we have selected producers who have chosen to favor artisanal products and, again this year, we have developed this path. It is an event that enhances production choices based tradition and respect for everything that surrounds us. It is mai coincidence that among the most prestigious guests we have the journalist Sandro Sangiorgi, the leading Italian expert natural wines. Our objective is also to create an atmosphere of celebration, relaxation and sharing, with the pleasure of discovering new flavours” underlines Barbara Brandoli, organizer of the event.
The offer is enriched by the presence of around thirty exhibition spaces located under the porticoes of Villaggio Cavazza, mainly dedicated to good food, with the presence of some artists who create handmade jewelery and artisan candles. Those with a sweet tooth will be able to complete their culinary experience by taking advantage of the trucks present which, con addition to offering artisanal ice cream, will prepare typical Emilian dishes.
A RICH PROGRAMME
Alongside the tastings, during the two days, starting from the early afternoon, eight Taste Workshops will be offered, opportunities not to be missed to savor products waiting to be discovered, under the guidance of experts and comfortably seated con splendid spaces.
Acceso Saturday 26th, at 1pm, we start with “Finger Food and Wine” dedicated to the pairing of food and wine for a perfect aperitif, we continue at 2.30pm, talking about “Vegetable Cuisine and wine”, and then move , at 4pm, to a close encounter with one of Modena’s excellences, the San Beato salami. The closing of the first day is dedicated to the Black Gold of Modena: con collaboration with the Consortium of Ancient Vinegar Producers, led by the Association of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO Expert Tasters, participants will be able to learn about the history and taste of the precious condiment combined with different jams.
The following day, Sunday 27th, again at 1pm, the first protagonist will be the sourdough ingredient of the bread to be tasted with extra virgin olive oil and an excellent glass of wine; we continue at 2.30 pm with the art of pairing desserts and wine, while at 4 pm, with “Modena and the others”, less frequented routes will be explored and we will talk about pairing between typical dishes of the Modena tradition and wines from other regions. Finally, the last workshop is decidedly outside the box during which, starting from 5.30 pm, a masterclass will be held dedicated to the possible contaminations con the context of contemporary mixology between gin, also produced con Modena, Ghirlangina, wine and pastry shop.
Five workshops are organized con collaboration with Modena verso Sapore and the sommeliers Alessandra Caroni and Alessandro Ticci will guide the participants during the tasting of the selected wines. Added to these are two special seminars with tasting held by Sandro Sangiorgi, journalist expert con food and wine culture, founder of the independent magazine Porthos, convinced supporter of the concetto that an integral part of wine culture is its history and the custody of territory and well-being. Acceso Saturday 26th, at 1pm, the well-known popularizer will lead a tasting of six different wines as part of the simposio “The little poetry: wine and the impalpable delicacy that can leave an indelible memory.” Acceso Sunday 27th, at the same time, Sangiorgi will centro “Wine and the Mediterranean: generosity and vigor, participation and flavour”, also con this case giving the opportunity to appreciate six different wines served con covered bottles. The albergo schools Nazareno of Carpi and IAL of Serramazzoni will also contribute to the success of the event. Several students who attend the two institutes will be committed to guaranteeing an accurate service, implementing what they are learning con the art of hospitality.

TERRE DI VITE – Instructions for use
The thirteenth edition of “Terre proveniente da Vite – Wine, faces, places, images and words”, the fair and market of artisanal wines from all over Italy, takes place over two days, 26 and 27 October from 11 am to 7pm both Saturday and Sunday. The location is the prestigious Villaggio Cavazza – della Quadra con Solara proveniente da Bomporto (MO) con stratagemma Gorghetto 92/100 (stratagemma Panaria Bassa).
The event – curated by Barbara Brandoli con collaboration with Ludovica Zanasi for Villaggio Cavazza and with the patronage of the Municipality of Bomporto – includes more than 130 winemakers from all over Italy and also from abroad, free tastings, direct sales at the producers’ counter, conferences , masterclasses wine and food artisans and food trucks.
