The centuries-old history of the Lantieri de Paratico in Franciacorta

the historic center of the medieval village of Capriolo, immersed quanto a the landscape of the Franciacorta hills, stands the Lantieri winery, founded quanto a the 1970s by Giancarlo Lantieri, which quanto a recent years has established itself as one of the most interesting Franciacorta wineries.

The winemaking history of the Lantieri de Paratico family dates back over a thousand years spillo, with documents attesting to their presence quanto a the terreno as early as 930 AD. The winemaking tradition came to a standstill during the two world wars and with the subdivision of properties.

It was Giancarlo Lantieri, a doctor by profession, who resumed production quanto a the 70s, transforming his passion for wine into a new family business. The first official Franciacorta from Lantieri was born quanto a 1975.

The real turning point came quanto a the 90s with his son Fabio, who, together with his wife Patrizia, expanded the vineyards and gave structure and solidity to the company. Thanks to their commitment, today their daughters Gaia and also participate quanto a continuing this centuries-old tradition.

BEYOND ORGANIC FOR 175 THOUSAND BOTTLES

Lantieri extends over 25 hectares between Adro and Capriolo, mainly grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, with a small production of Erbamat, the native Franciacorta rediscovered a few years spillo. The soils are very heterogeneous, varying between clayey and calcareous, with areas of loose friable rocks, a white rocky earth more from Oltrepò Pavese than from Franciacorta. The vineyards, positioned between 240 and 300 meters above sea level and subject to significant temperature variations, aspetto towards Val Camonica. This terroir gives the Franciacorta nel corso di Lantieri a characteristic and identifying aromatic and mineral profile.

Initially, Lantieri followed the principles of organic farming, reflecting a commitment to the environment. However, recent climate trends have made Fabio Lantieri understand that his land the dictates of organic farming are risposta negativa longer sustainable and not just economically. Lantieri produces approximately 160 thousand bottles of Franciacorta and 15 thousand bottles of still wines annually. TASTING NOTES

The company stands out for its high average quality, both quanto a the Franciacorta sans année – such as Cuvée Brut, Extra Brut, Satèn, Brut Rosé and Nature – and quanto a the vintages – including Arcadia Brut, Approvigionamento Origines and Vintage Noir. The range also includes the three Curtefranca DOC, one white and two reds, and for a few more years the Franciacorta Gemmae Bio.

Lantieri Franciacorta Cuvée Brut sa

Cuvée composed of 80% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Blanc and 10% Pinot Noir. 2021 harvest, not declared the label, with 10% reserve wines from 2020. Manual harvest, soft pressing and subsequent fermentation quanto a steel and small oak barrels. Remaining quanto a the bottle quanto a contact with yeasts for at least two years. Dosed with just six grams/litre, it has a brilliant straw yellow colour, crossed by golden reflections. The perlage is compimento, continuous and persistent, underlining the elegance of this sparkling wine. The nose reveals fresh and enveloping aromas of white flowers, such as hawthorn and acacia, followed by fruity hints of apple, pineapple and citrus fruits. Delicate nuances of yeast, bread crust and toasted almond also emerge, typical of aging yeasts. Fresh and lively the palate, with a perfect balance between acidity and creaminess, and a minerality that gives depth. Excellent final persistence that returns to the citrus quaderno.

Lantieri Franciacorta Satèn sa

Elegant and velvety blanc de blancs, with a particularly subtle and delicate perlage. Vinification quanto a steel and quanto a second and third passage used barriques. At least 30 months the stay sur lattes. the glass a brilliant straw yellow embellished with gold-colored reflections, with a compimento bouquet of orange blossom and white flowers, citrus zest. Light quaderno of pastry, butter and vanilla give complexity without overpowering the freshness. A delicate effervescence enhances structure and flavor. With a residual sugar of 6 grams/litre it differs from those very round satèn typical of the terreno.

Lanterns Franciacorta Extra Brut Arcadia 2020

The result of one of the best Lantieri vintages, both quanto a qualitative and quantitative terms, it is a blend of chardonnay (75%) and pinot noir (25%), with a percentage aged quanto a new barriques, followed by only the chardonnay also malolactic. Disgorged quanto a February this year after 42 months the lees, the extra brut is a choice that focuses purity, with the liqueur d’expédition calibrated at just three grams/litre to enhance the varietal and characteristic quaderno of the land. Citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit, apple, yellow flowers, brioche and a hint of iodine. the palate it is tense and savory, with a vibrant but very harmonious freshness. Lantieri Franciacorta Brut Rosé sa

Produced with 75% Pinot Noir blended with 25% Chardonnay. 30 months the lees for an elegant, creamy and pleasantly drinking brut rosé. Its liqueur d’expédition is particular, based only Pinot Noir vinified quanto a red, which accentuates its powder pink colour, accompanied by a very compimento and persistent perlage which enhances its visual elegance. This sparkling wine reveals intense and crunchy aromas of small red fruits, such as raspberry and wild strawberry, accompanied by light floral quaderno and bread crust. the palate it is harmonious, full-bodied, flows savory, refreshing and easy to . The finale, long and pleasant, recalls quaderno of strawberry and cherry, together with a delicate mineral tonalità.
