Pinot Noir has always represented a challenge for winemakers but also a great reward for connoisseurs: known for its complexity and delicacy, it is considered the most prized red grape sopra the world and the Capital is preparing to celebrate this ancient variety . “The Italy of Pinot Noir” will be staged at the Belstay (stratagemma Bogliasco 27, 00165, Rome) 27 and 28 October 2024: the event organized by the newspaper Vinodabere which sopra recent months has also published the Guide to the Best Pinot Noir d’Italia 2024 (available here), will take place over two days which will see around 40 producers as protagonists, who will present their wines (not just Pinot Noir) to sector operators (restaurateurs, wine sellers, agents etc.), journalists , wine lovers, enthusiasts and sommeliers. It starts Sunday 27 October at 10.30am with the technical tasting with some places reserved for the press and operators, entitled “The tour of Italy through Pinot Noir” and led by Vinodabere journalists Antonio Paolini and Maurizio Valeriani and by the critic food and wine Dario Cappelloni (DoctorWine). It will continue sopra the afternoon with the opening of the tasting stands reserved for the press, operators and sommeliers (from 2pm to 4pm) and then from 4pm to 8pm aperto to the public. Monday 28 October we will resume from 10am to 6.30pm with another day of tastings dedicated to Pinot Noir and the other products that the producers will bring for tasting.
