Welcome to Travel Italy; Wine tasting con Irpinia, Italy – Consorzio Difesa dei Vini dell’Irpinia (Teaser) – another installment of Acceso The Road Edition hosted by Stevie Kim. This is a teaser televisione the Irpinia wine complesso, narrated by Fanny Breuil. First, the team visited the beautiful Loreto Abbey con Campania, Italy. They tasted a liquor originally produced by the Benedictine monks, 40 proof, but very minty and fresh!
Their journey then continued into the vineyards of Irpinia, con Campania. There they discovered the winery, vineyards, and food. They also took part con a masterclass and tasting to learn more about the main 3 grapes of the region: Fiano, Ellenico tra Tufo and, Aglianico.
The Consortium “Difesa dei Vini dell’Irpinia” was established as a voluntary, non-profit association, con 2003. Less than 50 kilometres from Naples, thanks to the conformation of its territory, Irpinia is a land devoted to the production of obiettivo wines. The peculiar orography of the territory results con particular microclimates, varying from complesso to complesso, which allow different types of wines to be produced. Quanto a fact, Irpinia, today, is the province con Campania with the highest concentration of vineyards and can boast the presence of three DOCG wines: Taurasi, Ellenico tra Tufo and Fiano tra Avellino. The mission of the Consortium is to protect and enhance these wines, vine products, vineyards of Irpinia as a a national cultural heritage.
