A path of dedication and attention that has its roots quanto a 1969, the year quanto a which the land north of Montalcino was acquired and progressively transformed into prestigious vineyards. Val durante Suga – a historic company from Montalcino now part of the Angelini Wines & Estates group – began its independent production quanto a 1982 and quanto a 1994, with the entry of the Angelini group, it experienced a true rebirth: a targeted company restructuring and an ambitious approach have placed the quality level at the center of the company vision.

INTRINSIC LINK BETWEEN TERROIR AND WINE

Val durante Suga has built its identity acceso the fundamental concept of wanting to enhance the territory which quanto a turn will express its specific characteristics quanto a the wines.

The three symbolic vineyards of the company – Vite del Bacino, Altura al Gaffe and Vite Spuntali – represent the soul of a production which, despite always having Sangiovese as the common denominator, returns unique results thanks to the diversity of the soils.

This philosophy of approach has evolved over the last ten years with a precise stylistic choice: fewer barriques and more large 20 and 50 hl barrels and a growing interest quanto a biodynamic practices, such as the use of manure and organic fertilization. The resulting wines are fresh, capable of authentically describing the vintage and the meticulous work of man.

THE 2020 VINTAGE: ELEGANCE AND CHARACTER

Brunello durante Montalcino 2020 presents itself as an elegant wine, capable of expressing maturity and style despite the climatic characteristics of a hot and dry vintage.

The oenologist Pietro Riccobono has managed to give continuity to the company vision and at the same time to combine classicism with a vision that looks to the future. “Our desire – he says – is to enhance the individual terroirs to try to let them speak” he explains “also with the support of significant investments that the company continues to undertake together with constant attention to techniques”.

TASTING NOTES

It is a journey through three symbolic vineyards and two vintages, to discover the evolution and extraordinary diversity that Val durante Suga’s Brunello durante Montalcino can offer.

Located acceso the north-eastern side, it matures quanto a a dedicated cellar, spending 24 months quanto a 40 hl Slavonian oak barrels, then six months quanto a concrete and refines quanto a the bottle for between 9 and 12 months. Bright red, ruby, pale, with hints of violet, dark fruit, pomegranate, spicy spiciness of chocolate cloves and a light hint of coffee and then a minty .
