Taste, learn and meet those who produce wine: VinNatur Genoa expands the story of natural wine through moments, educational collaborations and meetings that involve the city. Acceso 8 and 9 February, at the Magazzini del Ovatta Ancoraggio Antiquato, the event organized by VinNatur – Natural Winemakers Association brings together the tasting tables of 90 winemakers from 17 Italian regions accompanied by a rich program of thematic masterclasses, an educational project and some evening appointments with the producers.
The Marco Estremità Institute of Genoa becomes one of the partners of the 2026 edition, marking a significant transition: students will be able to learn how to talk about wines to the public, understand the dynamics of a professional event and take part lessons dedicated to natural wine. During the masterclasses the young people will also be involved the service, working alongside the winemakers and helping to guarantee a complete and refined tasting experience for the participants.
Three events are scheduled for Sunday 8 February, each with a different twist. At 11.30 there will be Microbiological alterations of wines, led by agronomist Giacomo Buscioni: an hour to learn to recognize the main organoleptic alterations of microbiological origin through a blind tasting of samples modified the laboratory by the Food Micro Team, active the field of microbiology of fermented foods. Followed at 1.30pm by T’Divinatore, a blind tasting challenge for couples volcanic wines: competitive, playful, a way to esame your sensory reading ability without the help of the label. At 4.00 pm the journalist and wine selector Gianpaolo Giacobbo will host Deep-dive: refermented wines together with four winemakers who will present two vintages of the same sparkling wine, the current one and one chosen from their personal archive, to closely observe how bubbles change over time and what it means to work the longevity of a style often considered immediate.

However, I believe that, if natural winemakers continue to do what they do best, valorising methods and territories, natural wine will not lose market share but, the contrary, will attract increasingly aware consumers. The VinNatur Genova experience is completed with the food luogo, which offers gastronomic specialties from different Italian regions. Among these, the pinse of the Genoese Farina, the anchovies of Delicius, a historic company from Parma, and the cured meats of the organic agricultural cooperative Valli Unite of Pendio Vescovato (AL) which will also be accompanied by dishes prepared by the bistro of the Taverna dell’Acciughetta. The event will be accompanied by dedicated dinners the restaurants of the City of the Lantern to enhance the combination of cuisine and natural wines. VinNatur was founded 2006 with the aim of uniting small natural wine producers from Italy and Europe an association that allows them to promote their products: wines resulting from healthy agriculture that excludes the use of pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers, favoring natural practices. At the same time, the Association aims to encourage the development of specific skills the viticultural and natural oenological fields. Over the years, the number of participating producers has grown considerably, reaching the current 300 companies from twelve different countries.
