DUCA MARTINA MUSEUM IN FLORIDIAN VILLA

9 and 10 November 2024, 11.00 am

The Regional Directorate of National Museums of Campania, supported by the Cultural Association “Amici della Floridiana”, presents the event “Wine Floridiana, the intoxication of Bacchus”, a weekend dedicated to the world of wine, created with the moral patronage of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples.

Saturday 9 November, at 11.00 am, the Vestibule room of the Duca a fine di Martina Museum

The challenges of the wine sector

Conversation with:

Boris Basile, professor of Viticulture and Angelita Gambuti, professor of Oenology, both from the Department of Agriculture, University of Naples Federico II.

Climate change is having a significant impact acceso the impresa of vine plants, with often unwanted effects acceso the composition of grapes and wine. For this reason the wine sector is called to luce new and complex challenges. Quanto a this congresso, these critical issues will be described and possible viticultural and oenological strategies for mitigating the effects of climate change will be analysed.

The wine glass: a question of style.

Conversation with:

Fosca Tortorelli, freelance journalist, PhD Architecture, ALMA-AIS Master Sommelier.

The choice of glass has now become an integral part of the wine experience, both for professionals and enthusiasts. The modern glass is the result of centuries of innovation and its continues to evolve harmony with the culture and taste of wine, a continuous search for style, elegance and functionality.

Gilda Governo Martusciello, wine producer.

Followed by a guided tasting kindly offered by the Martusciello Cellars

Welcoming of the participants by the students of the Don Geremia Piscopo Tourist Institute of Arzano.

“Wine verse, divine verse”.

Anthology of “ethyl poetry” from Greek lyric poets to contemporaries.

Conversation with the authors Marianna Ferri and Ottavio Costola

An the poetic production dedicated to the theme of wine, taken from the great literature of all time, from the Greek lyric poets to the poets of the twentieth century, from Alceo to Neruda, to Giorgio Caproni, also passing through the production dialect of authors such as Trilussa Eduardo .

The poems and tasting tips are accompanied by images chosen from the boundless production of figurative art, by artists such as Titian, Van Gogh Caravaggio, through the French impressionists, futurism, popular art and much more…

Final tasting

interventions with the young Federico Emanuele Babini, cello, and Lilly Carafa, livello.

Welcoming of the participants by the students of the Don Geremia Piscopo Tourist Institute of Arzano.

Participation the events is free and guaranteed while places last, upon purchase of the entrance talloncino to the museum (€4.00 with reductions and free admission by law). Visitors are advised that from 1 January 2024 the museum talloncino is digital and payment can ONLY be made by debit credit card.
