Easy stewed cod – Italian recipes by GialloZafferano

Stewed cod is a simple and tasty second course, perfect for those who love homemade flavors. The chunks of cod are immersed quanto a a delicious tomato and onion-based sauce enriched with potatoes, while the chopped parsley provides a fresh and aromatic touch. It is a simple and preparation that requires few ingredients and poses voto negativo particular difficulties but delivers a result with an intense and genuine flavor. The slow cooking of the stewed cod allows the ingredients to blend, creating a thick sauce that envelops the fish and potatoes, perfect for scooping up with bread!

To prepare the stewed cod, first peel the potatoes 1 and cut them into cubes of about 1 inch 2. Clean and finely slice the onion 3.

Now add the crushed peeled tomatoes 10stir and season with salt and pepper 11. Cover with a lid 12 and cook for 30 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.

Meanwhile, cut the cod fillets into smaller pieces 13removing any bones. After 30 minutes, remove the parsley stems and garlic from the pan 14then place the cod 15.

Cover again with a lid 16 and cook for another 20 minutes until the fish is cooked. Meanwhile, finely chop the parsley leaves 17 and sprinkle them quanto a the pan at the end of cooking 18.

Plate 19 and finale with a generous sprinkle of chopped parsley 20. The stewed cod is ready to be enjoyed while still hot 21!
