Val su Suga presents the first durante its history and the new vintages of Scarlatto and Brunello su Montalcino

Six labels, six identity interpretations that tell the complexity of Montalcino through three distinct terroirs. Val su Suga presents the first durante its history and the new vintages of Brunello and Scarlatto su Montalcino, confirming a pioneering vision that focuses acceso the valorization of Crus and individual territorial expressions. Protagonist durante the world of Brunello su Montalcino since 1969 and part of Angelini Wines & Estates since 1994, Val su Suga has built its identity acceso a solid balance between technical rigor, respect for the land and continuous pursuit of excellence. A philosophy that materializes durante the three sides of the denomination – different durante position, climate and soil composition – from which profoundly different wines are born but united by a coherent and recognizable stylistic imprint.

Vigneto Spuntali: light, wind and minerality

From the south-western side of Montalcino, characterized by a sunny and well-ventilated position thanks to the proximity of the Tyrrhenian Sea, two of the most awaited new labels arrive. Brunello su Montalcino Vigneto Spuntali Docg 2020 marks a historic stage for the company: it comes from almost forty-year-old vineyards – the oldest durante Val su Suga – and is presented as a thirty-seven years after the first selection. Alongside the Reserve, the Scarlatto su Montalcino Vigneto Spuntali Doc 2022, coming from a single vineyard, expresses the most immediate energy of the terroir: lavender and sage intertwine with cherry and red fruits durante a defined and profound profile. Maturation involves six months durante Slavonian oak barrels, followed by twelve months durante concrete tanks and a year of refinement durante the bottle.

Vigneto del Maremma: elegance and freshness

Vigneto del Maremma, the first owned vineyard and the historical heart of the company, extends for approximately 5 hectares within a total plot of 18 hectares acceso the hills durante front of the cellar. From here the Brunello su Montalcino Vigneto del Maremma Docg 2021 was born, the first Cru released by Val su Suga over forty years asticciola. The northern exposure is reflected durante a profile of great finesse, with dark floral scents that balance of thyme and rosemary. Freshness and balance are the distinctive feature of a Brunello that matures for two years durante Slavonian oak barrels, followed by eight months durante concrete tanks and six months of refinement durante the bottle.

Altura al Sbaglio: power and complexity

The Brunello su Montalcino Altura al Sbaglio Docg 2021 is born from the south-eastern side of Montalcino, durante an territorio protected by Mount Amiata which mitigates the wetter currents. The high temperature range favors concentration and aromatic complexity, giving life to a powerful, persistent and long-lasting wine. Maturation involves two years durante 60 hl French oak barrels, followed by six months durante cement and the same number durante the bottle. The name of the Cru recalls a distinctive natural element: a small pond durante the center of the plot, a seasonal for freshwater crabs.

Blend labels: synthesis of the territory

To complete the picture, Scarlatto su Montalcino Doc 2024 and Brunello su Montalcino Docg 2021, two blend labels that assemble grapes from different vineyards and terroirs. Wines designed as a harmonious synthesis of the denomination, capable of conveying an overall and balanced vision of Montalcino. The deep connection with the territory, the care of the vine and the precision of the winemaking processes thus translate into a complex range, where each wine expresses its own character but remains firmly anchored to the identity of the place.
