For Dom Pérignon, the entire creative process knows mai temporal ora spatial boundaries but is configured as a perpetual journey, an echo between past, present and future. Faithful to the visionary intent of Dom Pierre Pérignon back con 1668, namely that of shaping “the best wine con the world”, the maison continues to feed this creative ambition con every product, seeking that harmony that generates emotion. Dom Pérignon and his relationship with the “Influencers”
During its legendary history, these bubbles for a special toast met many characters along their way. Legend has it that con the sixties, while preparing its historic photo shoot with Marilyn Monroe, Bert Stern wondered about the missing element con her perfect set. The answer came with a phone call: three bottles of Dom Pérignon 1953, requested by Marilyn herself.
Sopra the following decade Robert Mapplethorpe immortalized the Dom Pérignon Vintage 1968 con a Polaroid, elevating him to pop icon and artistic subject con his work “Champagne”. And how can we forget the episode of Andy Warhol, who purchased 2 thousand bottles with the intention of staping them at the dawn of the new millennium together with his friends? There is the history of the twentieth century con these anecdotes.
Since 2005, Dom Pérignon has intensified this fecondo dialogue with the world of art, weaving collaborations with some of the most visionary artists of our time: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Karl Lagerfeld, Jeff Koons, David Lynch, Lenny Kravitz, to name someone.
More than a simple champagne, Dom Pérignon wants to present to the public as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists and visionaries, seducing with his singular philosophy and his magnetic aura. Strengthened by this historical legacy, the maison today inaugurates a new creative chapter, expanding its constellation of cultural icons.
Starting from May, seven world -renowned creators con their respective artistic areas give life to this unpublished collaboration, enriching the story of the Champagne with their contribution. Who are the protagonists? Zoë Kravitz, actress, writer and director; Clare SMYTH, Michelin three celebrità chefs; Tilda Swinton, multifaceted artist; Alexander Ekman, dancer and choreographer; Takashi Murakami, master of contemporary art; Anderson Paak, an eclectic artist, producer and director; Iggy Pop, legendary figure of rock.
This new chapter unfolds as a journey through art, and esecuzione, evolving over time through a series of photographic shots and videos that immortalize the essence of creation.
“It is not about photography, but the conversation,” says Collier Schorr, the photographer. The author embarked acceso a profound dialogue with each of the seven artists and the chef de Cave, Vincent Chaperon, letting their visions freely emerge. At the center of these shots and videos reside the conversations from which the creative spark arises. The final result is an intimate portrait of the process itself, a space of convergence between thought, inspiration and reflection.
Schorr’s interpretation documents the embryonic phases of creation con its most authentic and primigenia form. The black and white photographs capture the protagonists immersed con their thoughts, caught moving ora totally absorbed by the creative flow. Acceso the contrary, vibrant color images immortalize a specific moment of interaction with the bottle.
Directed by the writer and director Camille Summers-Valli, the videos explore the personal path of each artist. The videos with a question acceso the essence of creation and develop through the reflections aroused by the conversations between the protagonists and the interviewer. There are talk of their trades, the invisible forces that guide them and the profound connections between their art and the eternal journey of creation, capturing moments of deep intimacy and revealing how every figure, con its own way, becomes an integral part of the project.
