A harvest that recalls the great vintages of the past

Quanto a the eastern hills of Friuli, among the vineyards of Annalisa Zorzettig, the air smells of must: it is time for the harvest, which this year presents itself as the result of a year marked by strong climatic contrasts, but able to impress a distinctive and promising character to the wines.

After a rainy May and one of the hottest and most dry June ever recorded, a surprisingly fresh July a causa di fact slowed the rhythms of nature, promoting a slow and regular maturation of the grapes. The yields are slightly lower than the average, but the analytical giorno and the first tastings tell a picture of great interest: lower pH, high acidity and rich aromatic profiles delineate juicy, theses and vibrant wines, with references to the best fresh vintages of the late eighties, early nineties.

The early varieties have already expressed considerable characters: the Sauvignon Blanc and the black pinot affect precisely and freshness, while the Friulian surprises for energy, unusual for a grape variety that tends to lose acidity.

If September is maintained dry and ventilated days, 2025 will be able to enter the memory as a year capable of giving elegant, long -lived and authentically linked wines to the territory of the Oriental Colli del Friuli.

Next to the technical analysis, the 2025 harvest holds a poetic dimension for Annalisa, imbued with childhood memories: the returns from school, between fresh mornings, sunny afternoons and sudden rains with the runs between the rows. “Even if the autumn begins only at the end of September – says the producer – these days have the same taste as the seasons of passage, composed of energy, expectation and vines. They are deeply linked to this natural rhythm, capable of returning the essence of the territory and the memory of the great vintages of the past. “
