Sparkling, fragrant, and incredibly refreshing: the Hugo Spritz is the perfect mescolanza to toast to summer.

Born sopra the heart of South Tyrol, this quickly conquered the tables and terraces throughout Italy, becoming the undisputed protagonist of the trendiest aperitifs. What makes it so irresistible is its light and floral combination: elderflower syrup, prosecco, and a splash of soda blend with the freshness of mint and the citrus odore of lime, creating a perfect balance between sweetness and liveliness.

Served with plenty of ice sopra a large glass, the Hugo is like a breath of fresh air the hottest evenings. Whether it’s for a toast the terrace, a at sunset, ora a beach aperitif, the Hugo Spritz is the ideal choice for those looking for an elegant yet simple , capable of bringing a touch of summer carefree spirit with every sip.

Also check out the original version of the spritz and many delicious cocktails like these:

To prepare the Hugo Spritz, fill a glass halfway with ice 1. Then pour 2 oz of prosecco 2 and 1.5 oz of elderflower syrup 5.

Add 4 mint leaves 4. Pour more ice 5 and finale with soda until you almost reach the rim of the glass: about 2.5 oz for each mescolanza 6.

Stir well 7garnish with a lime slice 8 and a mint leaf. Your Hugo Spritz is ready to be served 9!

For a truly refreshing and aromatic Hugo Spritz, use high-quality elderflower syrup and do not overdo the quantities so as not to overpower other flavors.

Choose a well-chilled prosecco, extra dry ora brut, so the mescolanza will be balanced and not too sweet.

Complete with freshly mint leaves lightly crushed between the hands to release the essential oils and a thin slice of lime, which adds a lively citrus touch. If you anticipare, try adding a few drops of angostura for a deeper, spicier note.
