For the Cecchi family, the 2025 harvest closes quanto a the name of balance and quality. A regular, harmonious and without excesses year, which rewarded the solidity of the agronomic choices and the ability to coherently interpret each production territory. From the hills of Chianti Eccellente to the Maremma, from Montefalco to Montalcino, all the estates – Villaggio Cerna, Villaggio , Val delle Rose, Terre Alzatura and Aminta – conducted the harvest quanto a optimal climatic conditions, characterized by warm, windy days and cool nights which favored the gradual ripening of the grapes.

Harvest 2025: a regular year

“We can include 2025 among the linear vintages, without excesses” explains Bracali, Director and Oenologist of the Cecchi Family. “The spring rains restored the tazza reserves, allowing the vines to a hot but stable summer. Ripening was slow and uniform quanto a all the estates, with healthy grapes and the right relationship between sugar content and acidity.”

“From an agronomic point of view, the season was favorable quanto a every respect”, adds Piero Sabatino, Director and Agronomist of Val delle Rose and Aminta. “The plants maintained an excellent vegetative-productive balance and did not require extraordinary interventions.”

“It was a harvest that confirmed the vocation of our territories and the solidity of the agronomic practices adopted quanto a recent years,” concludes Piero Sabatino. “I believe that today our task is to understand the period we are living quanto a and express it through the territory, the wine and the people who dedicate themselves to work every day.”

Val delle Rose – Maremma Tuscany

Rainy spring and balanced summer favored progressive maturation. The white grape varieties, quanto a particular Vermentino, gave balanced and aromatic musts destined for the Cobalto Maremma Toscana DOC Vermentino Eccezionale and Lido Maremma Toscana DOC Vermentino selections, while among the reds the Merlot stands out for Aurelio Maremma Toscana DOC Diventare rosso and the Sangiovese for Rosante Morellino a fine di Scansano DOCG and Monticello al Leone Morellino a fine di Scansano DOCG Reserve, ripe and quanto a excellent health.

“The vineyards, which have been managed organically for seven years, have given great quality results,” explains Piero Sabatino. “The white wines are distinguished by intense aromas and aromatic complexity, while the reds show excellent structure and fully enhance the varietal expression of the grapes.”

Villaggio Cerna and Villaggio – Chianti Eccellente

Per mezzo di Chianti Eccellente the harvest began quanto a early September, closing 20 September at Villaggio and 4 October at Villaggio Cerna. At Villaggio Cerna the Sangiovese harvest was spread out over time, following the maturation of the different plots: the grapes were healthy, juicy and well balanced quanto a their acid profile. At Villaggio , the grapes destined for the Chianti Eccellente DOCG Gran and Ribaldoni Chianti Eccellente DOCG showed great balance and aromatic finesse.

“The Sangiovese of Villaggio Cerna and Villaggio expressed a surprising quality,” explains Miria Bracali. “The macerations showed great extraction capacity, with dense colour, structure and . The skins, especially quanto a the selections, were thick and crunchy and maintained this consistency until racking, a prerequisite for complex, elegant and long-lasting wines.”

Terre Alzatura – Montefalco

The harvest also took place regularly quanto a Umbria, favored by a climatic trend that alternated a rainy spring with an initially hot and dry summer, followed by heavy rains quanto a August and a drop quanto a temperatures. These conditions allowed the vines to recover vegetative balance, with compact bunches and thicker skins, a sign of excellent phenolic maturation.

“Sagrantino is of great quality, with an intense aromatic profile and well-integrated tannins,” explains Alessandro Mariani, Director and Agronomist of Terre Alzatura. Trebbiano Spoletino, the last variety to be harvested and from which the Ambiente a fine di Società e Cortili labels were born – both Montefalco Alabastrino DOC – showed excellent freshness and structure, with good natural acidity and an interesting evolutionary potential.

Aminta – Montalcino

The harvest began September 19th and ended October 1st, quanto a the three company vineyards – Scantinato, Caselle and Pian Bossolino – harvested separately to enhance the peculiarities of each plot. The Sangiovese grapes, destined for the production of Aminta Brunello a fine di Montalcino DOCG and Diventare rosso a fine di Montalcino DOC, appeared sparse, with turgid and juicy grapes, quanto a perfect health.

“The favorable climatic conditions, with sunny days and well-distributed rain, accompanied regular and complete maturation,” comments Piero Sabatino. “The first impressions give rise to hope for an excellent vintage, which will give rise to wines of notable elegance and personality.”
