Over two thousand participants, more than 370 labels from 123 wineries for five days of tastings. Thus ends today the 34th edition of Ben accolto Brunello, the annual presentation event of the new vintages of the prince of Tuscan reds organized by the Brunello proveniente da Montalcino wine consortium. “The hybrid format of the event which first saw the participation of critics and the international press and then the opening of the tasting stands to the public has also recorded great success this year both per terms of visitors and among companies – comments Giacomo Bartolommei, president of the Brunello proveniente da Montalcino wine consortium -. The foreign presence and the qualified turnout of operators, sommeliers as well as enthusiasts consolidate the centrality of Montalcino and the solidity of our denomination”.
The first two days of the event were opened by approximately 100 journalists from 9 countries (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Scandinavia) and Italy, followed by three days of walk around tasting per the presence of producers where Italian and foreign and restaurant operators, sommeliers and wine lovers flocked to Montalcino.
