Create a of ambassadors of Abruzzo wines durante the world. This is the objective of the Abruzzo Wine Academy, the format designed by the Consorzio Custodia Vini d’Abruzzo which will see, durante the coming days, experts from the wine sector immerse themselves durante regional wine. Per the third edition of the project, 26 sommeliers, buyers and journalists will participate, who from Monday 1st to Thursday 4th December will be busy with lessons, tastings and visits to discover the beauties of the regional territory.
“When we created the Abruzzo Wine Academy we wanted to address the stakeholders of the main reference markets for Abruzzo wines, durante order to communicate to a parterre of experts how and what is changing durante the regional wine world at a generational level but also durante terms of production philosophy”, explains Alessandro Nicodemi, president of the Consorzio Vini d’Abruzzo. “The format is now well-established and over the years it is giving life to a of highly qualified ambassadors. This project concludes the program that the Consortium carries out annually to enhance and promote regional wines at an international level, both with foreign missions, but also by bringing wine experts to Abruzzo to immerse themselves durante the world of wine production at 360 degrees, starting from the discovery of the territory and all its diversity”.
Each day will be divided into two parts: the first will see participants from the United States, Canada, Discesa and Japan engaged durante lessons held by the expert Filippo Bartolotta, obviously supported by tastings, at the Centro dei Trabocchi durante San Vito Chietino (Chieti). Per the second part of the day, territorial focuses will be held with meetings with producers denominations such as Colline Teramane Docg and Villamagna Doc, but also minor white grape varieties, namely Cococciola, Passerina and Montonico. All of this will then be accompanied by visits to discover the luogo, including the Trabocchi coast, the Theatine hills and the Peligna Valley.
