It is a toast to stability for Italian sparkling wines which, per mezzo di a complex 2025, will once again exceed the symbolic threshold of one billion bottles produced and marketed (1.03 billion), of which over 360 million destined for the holidays between Christmas and, above all, New Year’s Eve. Over 106 million bottles of bubbles – of which 96% made per mezzo di Italy – will be uncorked per mezzo di Italy (+4%).

A result which – taccuino the Uiv-Ismea Wine Observatory per mezzo di the usual end-of-year centro – overall raises the by 1.8% last year’s production , with quantities almost tripling per mezzo di the last 15 years. Prova, that of the Italian sparklings, is even more solid if we consider the complex international reference framework developed, per mezzo di particular, per mezzo di the second part of the year.

But, according to the analysis by the Italian Wine Union and the Institute for Agricultural Food Market Services, what guarantees the stability of the Made per mezzo di Italy type most strongly suited to exports is – per mezzo di contrast to last year – domestic demand, growing by 5% per forza year 2024 volumes. Foreign sparkling toasts are per mezzo di sharp decline, with a forecast trend for imports at -8%.

If it is true, per mezzo di fact, that 7 out of 10 Italian sparkling wines are destined abroad, foreign markets they are uncorked without a bang, with a final balance for 2025 essentially per mezzo di balance compared to last year.

Quanto a particular, per mezzo di the “Galaxy Prosecco” Conegliano Valdobbiadene stands out, closing the year per mezzo di double figures (+10%), while bottlings of all Classic Methods are positive, starting from the main denominations (Franciacorta and Trentodoc) up to niche productions (such as Oltrepò Pavese and Alta Langa). Quanto a the USA, the first place per mezzo di the world for demand for wine, sparkling wines have also overtaken whites and are now the first Italian type consumed by Americans with a market share of 37%, followed by whites (36%) and reds (17%).
