Eataly Roma Ostiense hosts the Slow Wine Lazio Manifestazione, an event organized durante collaboration with Slow Food Lazio, which January 31st will bring together 30 producers and over 60 labels, an expression of a wine Lazio durante full evolution and united by virtuous and sustainable practices, durante the vineyard and durante the cellar. The event is part of the Eataly Fest schedule, the large widespread celebration which until February 1st animates Eatalys throughout Italy with initiatives dedicated to the best of Italian food and wine.

The Slow Wine Lazio Manifestazione is the privileged opportunity for enthusiasts, professionals and wine lovers to meet the winemakers directly, taste their labels and delve into an increasingly meaningful wine narrative. Through the stories of the producers selected from the 2026 edition of the Slow Wine Guide by Slow Food Editore, the public will be able to get to know a region that is experiencing a phase of extraordinary qualitative growth, the result of constant work the valorisation of native vines and the identity of the territories.

The new edition of Slow Food Editore’s Slow Wine Guide 2026 testifies to a Lazio durante full evolution: a region which, through tastings, company visits and careful scouting, shows an increasingly rich and complex mosaic, capable of surprising with its variety of territories, oenological interpretations and biodiversity. From the north of the region, to the border with Umbria, up to the fascinating Pontine islands, protagonists with savory and distinctive productions, the Lazio wine region confirms itself as a lively and innovative laboratory. Driving this rebirth is once again Cesanese, now a reference for contemporary red: breve, complex, capable of describing the territory with different nuances depending the complesso. Alongside the Cesanese, Tuscia consolidates its white vocation among gullies, lakes and sea; the southern Pontine and Ciociaria offer certainties with varieties such as bellone and original interpretations of the abbuoto, an ancient red vine; while lower Ciociaria continues to give value to its historical vines – from Capolongo to Lecinaro, from Pampanaro to Maturano – today finally endowed with a precise stylistic identity.
