Silvio Dani is reconfirmed as president of the Consortium for the Defense of Colli Berici and Vicenza white wines. The elections were held throughout the last conference of the Board of Directors, which occurred on Monday 4 March 2024. Owner of a business that has around 10 hectares of vineyards in Sarego (Vicenza), Silvio Dani starts his 4th term as president of the Consortium.
In selecting the brand-new board of directors, the twenty-eight members discovered the best mix of connection and development, so regarding much better face today and lay the structures for future jobs focused on securing and improving the denominations. Together With Silvio Dani, the 2 vice-presidents Giancarlo Cavazza, owner of the Cavazza farming business, and Matteo Lovato, vice-president of Vitevis, are reconfirmed. The list of councilors is comprised of the 4 freshly chosen Emanuele Dani, Luca Inama, Antonio Isatto and Davide Rossetto who sign up with Pierpaolo Cielo, Daniele Dal Maso, Enrico Pegoraro and Matteo Franchetto.

Today the Consortium for the Defense of Colli Berici and Vicenza white wines has 910 hectares of vineyards: 600 of the DOC Colli Berici, 310 of the DOC Vicenza. Production prefers black grape ranges (63%), compared to white grape ranges (37%), and in 2023 it will reach 53,000 quintals of grapes for the Colli Berici Doc and 39,000 quintals for the Vicenza Doc. In the exact same year, the bottled production of the Berica denomination stood at around 1,660,000 bottles, while the Vicenza denomination stood at 560,000.
