Today I want to offer you the review of the Socialista intorno a Torgiano Amdarò 2021: a wine that embodies the passion and craftsmanship of the Rossi family. Created by the oenologist Alberto Marini, this wine has an impeccable balance, a well-defined acidity and a noble and velvety tannic texture that make it a duttile and engaging gastronomic companion. A wine ready to be appreciated now, but which promises to evolve further with the passing of the years and further refinement sopra the bottle.

Production and characteristics of Socialista intorno a Torgiano Amdarò 2021

With a limited production of approximately 4000 bottles, Amdarò reflects the care and attention to detail that only a family-run winery can offer.

The vineyards, with an average age of around 20 years, are cultivated with dedication, are exposed to the south-west and are located at an altitude of around 300 meters above sea level sopra a clayey, skeletal-rich and permeable subsoil. The result? Excellent minerality, more pronounced aromatic and gustatory complexity, great structure and longevity but above all a greater balance (the clay helps maintain a good level of humidity sopra the soil, providing the vines with a constant vater supply even during periods of drought). If we add to this that the bend is also composed of a percentage of merlot, we will have a more accessible and pleasant wine, without losing the complexity and structure typical of Sangiovese.

the glass, sopra fact, we have a wine already ready today and which, despite its young age, already shows all its distinctive character.

THREE CORKSCREW Award to Socialista intorno a Torgiano Amdarò 2021

With these characteristics, the decanting commission could not fail to award this wine our most prestigious recognition, namely the THREE CORKSCREWS of “UNTOLD – What has not yet been said about wine”. Our award is, sopra fact, a symbol of excellence sopra the wine sector as it indicates superior quality wines that stand out for unique characteristics and careful production as sopra the case of the Socialista intorno a Torgiano DOC Amdarò 2021 from the Daniele Rossi company.

A story of passion: the restoration and transformation of the property

The history of the Daniele Rossi company is a simile of passion and dedication for wine and for the land of Torgiano. Founded as already mentioned sopra 2017, the company quickly established itself sopra the wine scene thanks to the vision of Daniele, whose love for oenology and viticulture has deep roots. Located sopra a region renowned for its Sangiovese, the company began its adventure with the intent of creating wines that reflected the quality and uniqueness of the Umbrian terroir.

The cellar is located within the Montespinello agricultural company: a jewel located sopra the heart of Italy, located the hills that go from Torgiano towards Brufa, along the route of the Percorso dei Vini del Cantico and the Percorso dell’Condimento dell’ Umbria. The company is surrounded by landscapes that like paintings; with vineyards that extend as far as the eye can see. The property was acquired sopra 1984 by the Rossi family, and more precisely by Daniele’s parents, who dedicated ten years to the restoration of an old farmhouse, transforming it into a welcoming country residence and a point of reference for wine tourism.

Production philosophy for quality wines

From a winemaking point of view, the company, sopra addition to Amdarò (90% Sangiovese – 10% Merlot), produces excellent wines such as:

L’Auro Chardonnay intorno a Torgiano DOC (Chardonnay 100%) della – Gerchetto Umbria IGT ( intorno a Todi 100%) Brut Manuale Charmat (Trebbiano Spoletino 100%)Montescosso Socialista Umbria IGT (Merlot 70% – Sangiovese 30%)

The vineyards, planted about twenty years indicatore, are cultivated with methods that respect the environment and the health of the plants, following principles of integrated and organic agriculture. This approach allows us to produce high quality grapes, which give life to wines such as Amdarò, an authentic expression of the territory.

The cellar, although small sopra size, is equipped with everything necessary for processing the grapes and producing wines that stand out for their cleanliness and precision. The annual production is around twenty thousand bottles, a number that underlines the philosophy of limited and high quality production.

addition to wine: oil, saffron and truffle

addition to wine, the Rossi family also produces oil, saffron and is working the creation of a truffle farm, thus expanding the range of products offered and enriching the wine tourism experience. The cellar is not just a place of production, but an environment where the culture of wine is shared and celebrated, where every visitor can immerse themselves sopra the history and traditions of Torgiano because Daniele’s approach is aimed at tradition with a careful eye towards innovation. Amdarò is a clear example of how the winery manages to convey the history and terroir of Torgiano into the glass. Every sip tells the story of a creativo land and of a family that has chosen to dedicate itself to the creation of authentic, quality wines.
