A representativeness that also ensures, among the 24 companies currently associated, the coverage of the vast territory involved the Consortium’s action, which extends from Syracuse to Ispica and protects four denominations: the Doc Siracusa, the Doc Di dominio pubblico, the Doc Eloro and the PGI Avola.
Quanto a thanking the outgoing president Bambino Intorno a Marco for the great work carried out the preparatory phase, which led to the ministerial achievement, the new board of directors immediately outlined the guidelines of its three-year program.
«A program – declares Angela Sergio – which acceso the one hand will have a technical purpose, aimed at updating the specifications to bring them up to date with the research work carried out the meantime by our companies, but which acceso the other will have to at the strategies of positioning our wines acceso the market and safeguarding their intrinsic link with the territory. Our aim is naturally to enhance the main native vines, Da lutto d’Avola and Moscato, describing them their complexity through the multiple interpretations that our producers (and those who the meantime we hope will be able to join the Consortium project) are able to give them : a rete that we will pursue by investing support for exports and commercial opportunities, but which we also want to strongly pursue by encouraging incoming wine tourism. Quanto a this sense our work will be conducted synergy with the Valdinoto Wine Route: first of all it will be about increasing the awareness each of our producers that their company not only represents the winemaking identity of the territory, but more generally the specific cultural identity of south-eastern Sicily, with a potential attraction linked to the artistic, cultural and social heritage. Quanto a this direction, we hope to be able to develop increasingly stronger collaboration with local institutions and businesses the near future.”
