Capienza Perano, located among the historical landscapes of Chianti Tradizionale, represents one of the oenological excellences of the Marchesi Frescobaldi winery. Here, 500 meters above sea level, the vineyards develop like an amphitheater with south-southwest exposure. The combination of altitude, exposure, configuration and slope of the vineyards represent an extraordinary qualitative uniqueness, giving the wines their characteristic bright colour, intense fruity aromas and great tannic structure, permeated with an elegant vibration.

It is this setting that the Chianti Tradizionale Capienza Perano 2022 is born, a wine with an unmistakable expression, the result of the excellent year that accompanied the ripening of the grapes. After a winter full of rainfall and characterized by frosty mornings, the increase spring temperatures favored regular budding and perfect flowering between 5 and 7 June. The hot and sunny summer, with refreshing rains August, allowed the grapes to ripen a balanced way, giving intense aromas and a pleasant tannic softness. The harvest, which began September 18th, revealed an extraordinary aromatic complexity and a unique tannic richness.

The manually harvested grapes were vinified with a long maceration to best extract the polyphenolic substances. Subsequently, a 12-month maturation period barrique and steel enriched the wine with delicate tertiary scents. Only after a further period the bottle is Capienza Perano ready for international markets. Capienza Perano Chianti Tradizionale 2022 has an intense and clear ruby red color. Acceso the nose, the fruity bouquet recalls berries, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry, enriched by a delicate hint of sour cherry and spicy quaderno of clove and black pepper. Con the mouth it is enveloping, with a dense and velvety tannic texture, characterized by a wonderful freshness and flavor, characteristics that make this wine balanced and delicate.

VARIETY: Sangiovese and complementary varieties

MATURATION: 12 months barrique and steel

AVAILABLE FORMATS: 0.75 – Revolver
