The Comité interprofessionnels des vins d’Alsace returns to Milan with the Alsace Rocks event! focused wines from beyond the Alps

Monday 16 October at L’Enoluogo, per mezzo di Lungomare Andrea Doria 24, an aperitif – tasting took place per mezzo di the presence of the host, Alessandro Torcoli, and several Alsace wineries. The event was preceded by a Masterclass, conducted by Alessandro, supported by Alsatian producers and the CIVA , Foulques Aulagnon.

Domaine Allimant-Laugner AOC Alsace Pinot Noir 2022, AOC Crémant d’Alsace (Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris), AOC Crémant d’Alsace Rosé (Pinot Noir), AOC Alsace Riesling 2022, AOC Alsace Grand Cru Praelatenberg Gewurztraminer 2018.

We tasted the AOC Crémant d’Alsace and the AOC Alsace Riesling from different producers, below are our considerations.

The Alsatian Crémant presents itself with a brilliant golden hue, animated by abile and persistent perlage, which highlights its excellent quality. the nose it opens with an elegant and complex bouquet. Hints of white flowers and citrus fruits emerge, followed by subtle of white pulp fruit, such as peach and pear, and toasted bread. the palate it reveals an extraordinary freshness and a pleasant acidity which gives the wine a remarkable balance. The , long and satisfying, leaves a pleasant aftertaste of fruit and a light minerality per mezzo di the mouth. It lends itself magnificently to multiple gastronomic combinations: it is ideal as an aperitif, but also goes very well with fish-based dishes, seafood, fresh cheeses and quality cured meats. This Alsatian Crémant is an extraordinary example of the Alsatian winemaking tradition. Its finesse and complexity make it an excellent choice for celebrating special occasions simply for enriching an everyday dinner with a touch of elegance.

Alsatian Riesling has a brilliant straw yellow color with greenish reflections that indicate youth and vitality. the nose, the bouquet is complex: citrus aromas emerge, such as lime, followed by hints of white peach and floral of jasmine. Con the mouth the pleasant freshness accompanies the palate, with a structure that is elegant and balanced. The is long, with a slightly citrus return and a pleasant mineral note. Alsatian Riesling pairs beautifully with fish and seafood dishes, sushi, summer salads and Asian dishes. It is a classic example of the purity and varietal expression that Alsace can offer. Its freshness and complexity make it a enciclopedico wine, suitable for both a moment of relaxation and a gourmet dinner.

Territory and Tradition
