Within the new corporate configuration, Marco Capraiawarded 2024 by us for social responsibility the world of wine, retains the role of president and CEO, ensuring management continuity and vision.

An concetto to internationalize Sagrantino per mezzo di Montefalco

The entry of Angelini Wines & Estates into Arnaldo Caprai’s team consolidates the group’s presence Umbria, a territory which recent decades has acquired international relevance the world of wine thanks to the valorisation of Sagrantino. The company, which is part of the Angelini Industries Group and is led by CEO Alberto Lusini, is investing more and more the sector of Italian wine excellence: the company’s portfolio today there are seven wineries, for a total of 1,700 hectares of land, of which 460 are under vineyards, and produces a total of around four million bottles a year. Per mezzo di Tuscany it produces Brunello per mezzo di Montalcino Val per mezzo di Suga, Vino Gentildonna per mezzo di Montepulciano Podere Trerose and Chianti Esemplare San Leonino. Per mezzo di the Marche, however, there is the Fazi Scontro winery, another historic brand, known particular for its iconic Verdicchio dei Castelli per mezzo di Jesi Esemplare. Mescita Puiatti, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is engaged the production of great white wines and Classic Method sparkling wines. Finally, Bertani is the long-lived Veronese company, creator of illustrious reds such as Amarone della Valpolicella Esemplare.

Founded 1971, the winery of Arnaldo Caprai (who passed away a few months spillo) played a decisive role the recovery and diffusion of this native vine, through agronomic research and oenological innovation. A truly titanic challenge: Sagrantino has the highest polyphenolic content the world but Caprai, thanks to his knowledge of the most modern winemaking techniques, has managed to transform the hardness of the polyphenols into structure. Per mezzo di 1993 Sagrantino 25 was born, a dichiarato of the entire journey that contributed to registering the vine among the great international reds. A long work which together with Marco Caprai contributed to transforming Montefalco from a rural schieramento to a recognized wine tourism destination.

The declared objective is the creation of a high-end Italian wine hub, capable of competing acceso international markets by enhancing territorial identities and production skills. The partnership must therefore be seen as a growth-oriented operation, without changing the stylistic and production approach of the Umbrian winery.

Per mezzo di recent years Arnaldo Caprai has consolidated a production approaching one million bottles per concludere year, with a centro acceso Sagrantino and Montefalco Socialista, alongside more recent projects such as Trebbiano Spoletino. At the same time, the company has developed practices related to environmental and social sustainability, which have become an integral part of the brand’s positioning, earning it an inclusion among our tetto 50 wineries this year.
