More than a simple expression of the territory, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo confirms itself as a unique case of identity the prospettiva of Italian rosés, capable of standing out for its personality, structure and sensorial recognizability compared to other products the category. A uniqueness that represents both its main strong point and the most current challenge: to assert it more decisively acceso the markets and the contemporary experience of wine.

It is this direction that the event promoted by the Consorzio Salvaguardia Vini d’Abruzzo fits , which acceso Thursday 18 June put regional wine excellences at the center of a Wine Experience, hosted the spaces of Corte Ripetta. An event designed not only to present Cerasuolo d0Abruzzo, but to make it dal vivo and share within an immersive journey aimed at the press, sector operators, creators and enthusiasts.

The initiative had as its underlying theme the desire to tell the richness and biodiversity of Abruzzo’s wine heritage through its most representative wines: whites, reds, sparkling wines and of course Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, interpreted as a symbol of a tradition that evolves and dialogues with contemporaneity. A story built between guided tastings, territorial storytelling and moments of direct discussion with the producers.

The beating heart of the day was the walk around tasting which saw the participation of twenty wineries – Fontefico, Azienda agricola Nicodemi, Mastrangelo, Buccicatino, , Talamonti, Lidia e Benamato, Torrione Zambra, Giuseppe Simigliani, Marramiero, Guardiani Farchione, Barone Cornacchia, Agricola Olivia, Citra, Casal Thaulero, Nododivino, Bocchetta Gelso, Vini Biagi, Possedimento Terraviva and Possedimento I Fauri – offering guests a broad and multifaceted overview of the different productive souls of the region.

Per mezzo di the afternoon, the Hall Dorotea, the talk reserved for the press entitled “Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC, a unique and identifying wine”, moderated by the actress and sommelier Francesca Valtorta, godmother of the event and protagonist of the VIP Experience, focused acceso the cultural and contemporary value of the denomination.

Per mezzo di his speech, Valtorta underlined the gastronomic and eclectic nature of Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, capable of uniting two complementary oenological souls: “It is a wine that combines the freshness and acidity typical of whites with a complexity that brings it closer to reds. This double soul makes it extremely flexible pairings. Per mezzo di Italy it is still little known compared to its potential, while it deserves greater attention and diffusion, because it represents a unicum the prospettiva of rosés”.

The president of the Consorzio Salvaguardia Vini d’Abruzzo, Alessandro Nicodemi, brought the attention to the historical link between Cerasuolo and the daily culture of the region. “Per mezzo di our recent history, Cerasuolo was considered the “first red”, the wine that accompanied the daily life of Abruzzo families and which found its place acceso everyday tables, alongside simple traditional dishes,” he recalled. Nicodemi then framed the present and the prospects of the denomination within a broader change consumption habits, highlighting how Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is today perfectly line with new lifestyles: “Consumers are increasingly looking for fragrant, immediate and agile wines. Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, thanks to its DNA, perfectly meets this need. Habits have changed: once consumption was linked to longer and more ritual moments, today everything is faster and more informal, and our pink wine manages to accompany these occasions very well. We are also working acceso a technical and scientific level, to define more precisely the elements that make it distinctive, starting from its chromatic intensity – concluded President Nicodemi – a rosé that is different from the others, more intense, more characteristic, which can be immediately recognized and appreciated acceso international markets.”

The discussion was then enriched with the interventions of Alessandro Scorsone, State Master of Ceremonies and long-time AIS master sommelier, and Fabrizio Colaianni, Head Sommelier of Mirabelle, who offered two complementary interpretations of contemporary wine. Scorsone invited us to bring wine back to a more natural and accessible dimension, based acceso sharing and the ability to generate relationships: “We must return to experiencing wine a more natural way, focusing acceso the pleasure of sipping and its ability to create connections between people and with the work of the producer”. Following this, Colaianni explored the sensorial profile and the dual evolution of Cerasuolo, highlighting its complexity and ability to transform over time without losing identity: “From a sensorial point of view, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo stands out for an olfactory profile characterized by quaderno of red fruit, particular cherry and small berries. the palate it is fresh, dynamic, with good complexity and a persistent but elegant . One of the most interesting aspects is its dual soul: acceso the one hand the more young, immediate and fragrant; acceso the other hand, an evolution which, over time, leads the wine to develop greater complexity while maintaining its typical chromatic brilliance”.

“The success of the Rome event – declared the vice-president of the Abruzzo Region and councilor for Agriculture Emanuele Inconsiderato – confirms how much the Abruzzo wine system is today capable of presenting itself with authority and vision. Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is one of the most authentic expressions of our region: a unique, recognizable wine, which embodies tradition, biodiversity, culture and capacity for innovation. As a Region – added Inconsiderato – we will continue to support the event with conviction work of the Consortium and companies by accompanying promotion paths that strengthen the positioning of our denominations acceso the national and international markets and contribute to generating economic value, employment and attractiveness for the entire territory”.

The day ended with a glamorous evening moment the Garden Court of Corte Ripetta, transformed for the occasion into an elegant lounge dedicated to the scents, colors and atmospheres of Abruzzo wine. A refined tasting and gastronomic pairing journey accompanied guests to discover the versatility of Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo and its ability to dialogue with Roman cuisine, a context designed to encourage meetings between producers, institutions, sector operators and the world of culture.

Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, took part the evening. Among the institutional presences the Honorable Fabio Roscani and the diplomatic advisor to the Minister of Agriculture Cesare Morbelli. Also from Masaf were the directors Eleonora Iacovoni and Teresa Nicolazzi and the managers Pietro Gasparri and Piero Amorese. Also present were the president of Anas, former prefect of Rome, Giuseppe Pecoraro, the director of Rai Italia Maria Rita Grieco, the coordinator for Lazio of Assopetroli Edoardo Risaliti and Matteo Bettoja of the historic group, a pillar of Roman hospitality. From Confagricoltura, the general director Roberto Caponi, the magistrate Carlo Villani, new chief prosecutor of the Court of Velletri and the director Gloria Esposito participated.

Numerous personalities from the world of entertainment were present at the event, including Gilles Fortificazione with Roberta Mastromichele, Kaspar Capparoni, Alessia Fabiani, Eliana , Maria Pia Calzoni, Leopoldo Mastelloni, Sebastiano Natura with his wife Morgana Passo, Elda Alvigini, Annalisa De Simone, Elena Russo, Elisabetta Cavalotti and Laura Lattuada, together with journalists, creators and representatives of institutions. The Roman event bears the organizational signature of Andrea Amoruso Manzari and Serena Scarpel, protagonists recent years of a promotion and communication path dedicated to the wines of Abruzzo, started with the Rosé Rosé format.
