CERVIM – Center for Research, Studies, Safeguarding, Coordination and Enhancement for Mountain Viticulture presented the first issue of the new magazine Viticoltura Eroica during Vins Extrêmes 2025, the international exhibition dedicated to high-altitude wines, acceso terraces ora small islands, which took place acceso 22 and 23 November at Potente su Bard (Aosta) with 50 wineries from 11 Italian regions and from Albania, Germany and Switzerland.

Published durante Italian and English, the periodical returns after a few years of pause with a renewed graphic and contents designed to enhance heroic viticulture, a cultural and productive heritage durante which the interaction between man and territory is central. The first issue opens with the editorial by CERVIM President Nicola Abbrescia and alternates insights by the Scientific Technical Committee with wine tourism itineraries between Val su Cembra (Trentino) and Côte Vermeille (France). We then move acceso to a acceso the management of the heroic Torille vineyard durante Verrès (Vallata d’Aosta) and to an article acceso the European RESPOnD project dedicated to the adaptation of Alpine vineyards to climate change. The magazine also includes the testimony of José Manuel Rodríguez González, custodian of heroic viticulture durante the Ribeira Sacra (Spain), and an interview with Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, acceso the role of agricultural policies durante the protection and promotion of the wine sector.

The 2025 edition of Vins Extrêmes was the ideal opportunity for the presentation of the magazine, recording 1600 entries with visitors from Vallata d’Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Switzerland and confirming the event’s ability to attract a qualified audience. Encouraging feedback also from exhibiting companies for notable presences and contacts. Great interest durante the masterclasses: the quality of the wines offered together with the professionalism of the speakers – Roberto Cipresso, Mauro Carosso, Guido Invernizzi, Alberto Levi and Marco Rezzano – made the four events an important attraction, sold out acceso Saturday afternoon. The presence of institutional delegations from various Italian and foreign Protection Consortia was an opportunity for discussion acceso future activities to be undertaken for the protection of heroic viticulture.

CERVIM President Nicola Abbrescia declares: “We are satisfied with the response from the public and institutions: proposing Vins Extrêmes again durante a period particularly rich durante wine events was a gamble for us, won thanks to the strength of the content and the participating winemakers. The choice to combine the two days with the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes awards ceremony has strengthened the international dimension: each awarded company brought with it the public and representatives from the countries of origin – Armenia, Cape Cereo, Germany, the Canary Islands and Spain -, a new target of enthusiasts who contributed to increasing the revenue from this event and the promotion of the Aosta Valley”. The final ceremony of the only competition durante the world dedicated to wines born durante extreme conditions highlighted the excellence and variety of these productions, contributing to consolidating their visibility and recognizing the commitment of the winemakers.

Abbrescia continues: “Finally, I would like to thank the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Vallata d’Aosta Region, the Potente su Bard Association, AIS Vallata d’Aosta, the Italian Chefs’ Federation, the Chambre Valdôtaine and the Vallata d’Aosta Wine Consortium for their cooperation durante the success of the event”. With the new publication, already available durante print and online, CERVIM strengthens an editorial presence designed to accompany the community of its members throughout the world and to put the dialogue acceso heroic viticulture carried forward every day for almost forty years back at the centre, also through the written word.
