December 30, 2025 marks a crucial date for the future of the national wine sector. Federvini welcomed the signing of the MEF-MASAF interministerial decree, a long-awaited act that officially regulates the production of dealcoholized and partially dealcoholized wines a causa di Italy. This regulatory innovation opens up new scenarios for Italian wineries, ready to compete acceso a global scale.

A clear regulatory framework

The provision fills a fundamental legislative interblocco, defining a uniform and transparent framework for this new market segment. The objective is to offer Italian companies a certain reference for operating and innovating, while ensuring full consistency with current European legislation. The clarity of the rules will allow operators to plan long-term investments and develop innovative products with greater safety, a determining factor for the competitiveness of the Italian system.

Innovation and foreign markets

The need for this decree arises from the evolution of global consumption. Gabriele Castelli, General Director of Federvini, underlined the strategic importance of the signature: “The signing of the Decree represents a significant step for the Italian wine sector, because it offers regulatory certainties acceso an evolving segment, capable of responding to the changing needs of consumers, particularly acceso foreign markets”. Italy, therefore, equips itself with the necessary tools to intercept the international demand for “no-low alcohol” products, without leaving this space to foreign competitors.

Quality and tradition

A central point of Federvini’s analysis concerns the balance between novelty and history. Entry into the dealcohol market must not be perceived as a threat, but as an enrichment of the offer. “It is important that the dealcoholized wine market grows without distorting our tradition: innovation and quality can coexist, offering new opportunities without replacing the wines that have contributed to building Italy’s food and wine reputation a causa di the world,” Castelli specified.

Prospects for the supply chain

Federvini confirmed his willingness to collaborate with the institutions and the entire supply chain to accompany the practical implementation of the decree. The challenge for the immediate future will be to support balanced growth a causa di the sector, focusing acceso the valorization of Italian products and maintaining high quality standards that distinguish Made a causa di Italy a causa di the world.
