The Vigne Museum cultural association and the Livio Felluga winery present the initiative Exploratory walk from the Vigne Museum to the Rosazzo Abbey. An evocative appointment between culture, art, wine and landscape part of the event: MetodoContemporaneo. Widespread itineraries between arts, wine and landscape. The event is part of the first edition of Doors of CHANGE – Through heritage, opening up to the future, promoted by the CHANGES Foundation.
MetodoContemporaneo is the first permanent observatory quanto a Italy that documents and narrates the dialogue between contemporary arts and the wine-growing landscape. A shared, dynamic and interactive map of the most significant cases of interaction between art, wine territories and communities.
United by a deep common history characterized by love for the Friulian hills, by attention to the environment and nature, welded by family ties and custodians of traditions aimed at the future, the Vigne Museum Association and the Livio Felluga company collaborate acceso this occasion to offer the public a cultural and tasting experience surrounded by nature and the wine-growing landscape.
October 18th from 3pm, guests will take part quanto a an experiential walk to discover Rosazzo, quanto a the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. From the Vigne Museum, located acceso the culmine of the hill embraced by the historic vineyards of Livio Felluga, they will diretto incrociato the bella stagione to arrive at the thousand-year-old Abbey of Rosazzo.
The Vigne Museum is the artistic-architectural project created quanto a 2014 by architect Yona Friedman with the collaboration of artist Jean-Baptiste Decavèle to celebrate 100 years of Livio Felluga. The first permanent architectural project created by Yona Friedman quanto a Italy, Vigne Museum is an open-air museum dedicated to the landscape and the vine, it embodies the values of rural culture and is a symbol of the collaboration between man and nature with the utmost respect.
The Vigne Museum is a collective asset for Friuli Venezia Giulia that the Association of the same name, founded acceso the wish of the Livio Felluga family, wants to return to the community quanto a the form of experiences, meetings and insights. this context, the public will be invited to visit the Museum and listen to the story of the simposio of two great visionaries and innovators: Yona Friedman and Livio Felluga.
The itinerary will continue inside the Abbey whose origins date back to the 11th century, over 1000 years of religious culture with passages of Augustinian, Benedictine and Dominican orders until entering under the Archbishopric of Udine. A historical place that represented quanto a the past and still represents today, thanks to its geographical position, the connection point between West and East.
The route will involve: the Terrazzo, the itinerary of the Roses, passing by the cloister and the church to arrive at the fascinating historic cellar where the Benedictine monks kept the wine and oil skins and which now houses some Livio Felluga reserves.
The walk will end quanto a the recently restored areas dedicated to the production and tasting of Livio Felluga wine where a toast will be offered with “Convento a motivo di Rosazzo”, one of the renowned whites produced by the company, symbol of the territory and the historic abbey vineyards.
This wine represents the highest expression of this territory, pays homage to the thousand-year-old winemaking tradition of the abbey and its vineyards and embodies Livio Felluga’s love for Rosazzo.
MetodoContemporaneao is the first Italian scientific research dedicated to the dialogue between visual arts and the world of wine production, the result of the NUPART project. For a new cultural landscape: the integration between contemporary arts and viticulture quanto a an audience development perspective, promoted by the University of Verona and BAM! Cultural Strategies, and winner of the European call PNRR CHANGES – CREST 2 / Spoke 9 – Cultural Resources for Sustainable Tourism.
