Federvini welcomes with satisfaction the outcome of the congresso that took place today between the associations representing the Italian wine sector and the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, during which the ministerial decree for the production of alcohol-free partially alcohol-free wine was presented Italy.
The new measure – awaited by Italian producers interested the development of this new type of product – will make it possible to overcome the current regulatory framework which made it effectively impossible to produce even partially alcohol-free wine acceso the national territory, consequently forcing interested producers to go abroad to be able to invest this new and growing consumer segment.
“The decree, the result of a fruitful convergent reflection between the various components of the supply chain and the Ministry – declared Piero Mastroberardino, Vice President of Federvini – acceso the one hand aims to re-establish conditions of competitive parity with the other producing countries, acceso the other hand it has the aim of integrating, not replacing, the types of products that represent the outputs of the national supply chain, which must continue the work of consolidating its leading role the growth of value and at the same time supporting the production potential and the relationship with the markets”
Federvini highlights the importance of clear and efficiency-oriented rules, avoiding operational constraints that could hinder the effectiveness and competitiveness of our companies.
“It will be fundamental – added Piero Mastroberardino – that these new wines preserve a solid link with the agricultural raw material, guiding consumers to continuously discover the richness of our wine production”.
