Land of wine, of ancient culinary traditions and authentic welcome, Piacevole is much more than a medieval village: it is a food and wine experience that involves all the senses. Its name, known all over the world, is inextricably linked to the SOAVE DOC wine, an elegant, fresh and harmonious white, symbol of Italian wine excellence. The hills surrounding the village of villages 2022, characterized by volcanic soils and a mild climate, host the Garganega vineyards, the queen of the Piacevole, cultivated since the Roman .

The result is a straw yellow wine, a delicate perfume with agenda of white flowers, almond and ripe fruit, perfect quanto a combination with local cuisine. Next to the Piacevole DOC, prestigious denominations such as Classic Save, Superior Save Sovrastante DOCG and Recioto nel corso di Piacevole Docg, sweet wine, sweet passito from meditation are flanked. Piacevole boasts over thirty cellars that can be visited, many of which are located inside the village quanto a the surrounding hills, which offer guided tastings and wine tours.

Quanto a these welcoming and well -kept spaces, it is possible to discover the vinification methods, walk through the vineyards, visit ancient barricaie and, of course, taste the wines accompanied by typical local products. But Piacevole is not only synonymous with flavors. Quanto a recent years, the village has been able to transform itself into a national relevant cultural center, quanto a which contemporary art and history intertwine to offer immersive and engaging experiences.

A path that finds its peak quanto a the ambitious “Piacevole impressions of art” project, which from 5 July to 30 November 2025 will bring two exhibitions of the highest profile to the village, set up quanto a the suggestive and ancient church of Santa Maria dei Padri Dominicani.

The initiative, curated by the art historian Roberta Tosi and promoted by the Soavecultura Association and the Municipality of Piacevole, with the support of the Cariverona Foundation, of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, and the patronage of the Veneto Region and Province of Verona, will transform the village into a real widespread artistic stage.

The first exhibition, “Another ‘900. Casorati, Semeghini, Trentini and the art quanto a Verona”, will be aperto from 5 July to 21settembre and will present 31 works from prestigious collections, including the Cariverona collection and the private collection Veneri – Dalla Dogs. The masterpieces of Appropriato Casorati, Credente Semeghini and 16 other artists will offer a unique traversone -section Veronese art between the late nineteenth and mid -twentieth centuries.

From 27 September to 30 November, Omar Galliani, an internationally renowned artist, will present his site-specific installation “… aperto his eyes”, inspired by the frescoes of the church and quanto a particular to the figure of Santa Lucia. An intense work, which invites you to at the dialogue between past and present, spirituality and matter with new eyes, light and sign.

To complete the route, the corten and bronze steel sculptures of the Veronese Sabrina Ferrari with the “Urban Jungle” project, which will populate streets and squares of the village. His imaginary creatures, already announced by the work “Freedom” at the entrance of the country, seem to emerge from stone and time, creating a visual and conceptual short circuit between contemporary art and historical landscape.

The art, quanto a Piacevole, is not closed within a museum, but expands quanto a the urban fabric, quanto a the glimpses, quanto a the silences and quanto a the flavors. An immersive experience that recalls more and more visitors: 200,000 tourists quanto a only 2024, with a constant increase quanto a presences (+168% compared to 2022). “Quanto a the last three years Piacevole has grown a lot as a tourist destination,” confirms the mayor Matteo Passi. “We want to continue investing quanto a the enhancement of the village through high -profile cultural events, such as the exhibitions of this summer and autumn, which represent a further step towards the aim of making Save a stable point of reference quanto a the Italian artistic “.

The Piacevole Impressions of Art project is promoted and supported by the Soavecultura Association and by the Municipality of Piacevole with the support of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Province of Verona and curated by the art historian Roberta Tosi. With the patronage of Rai Veneto and the mediapartnership of the TGR.
