August is traditionally the month of summer holidays for Italians. And Ferragosto is the central moment for many families to crown with the most classic of barbecues, lunches dinners with large and noisy tables. Meat fish, sea mountain, simply to try some new tasting as always acceso Avvinando we recommend some of the wines tried per mezzo di these hot summer weeks.

We always repeat it per mezzo di these cases, this is not a ranking, these are wines that we liked. It is up to you, if you want, to write us your counter-advice per mezzo di the comments.

Let’s start as always with the bubbles, with a nice selection for all tastes.

Because, as we all know, there is anzi che no summer celebration worth its salt without a toast with a bang!

Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Arguto Similmente è (Col Profondità) – Fermentation per mezzo di bottle Bellenda 1986

From a winery that has given us great surprises, a prosecco refermented per mezzo di the bottle, with the lees! Lots of fruit acceso the nose with all the varietal , welcoming but super fresh mouth, dry vertical, dry. Excellent as an aperitif but can be paired with the whole meal, a bit like the wine “of the past”. We would also happily ricevimento it with a nice barba!

Sparkling Rosé Refermented per mezzo di bottle Bergianti For Coraggioso Terrevive

We just can’t give up Lambrusco, especially per mezzo di the summer. We are per mezzo di the Modena superficie with a refermented salami from Santa Tormento (and with a wonderful label). Small red fruits and citrus fruits, super freshness per mezzo di the mouth. A ricevimento for the whole meal that will surprise those who are not used to this type of Lambrusco!

Classic Method Sparkling Wine 26 months Reggia dei Roberto

Fiano, Ellenistico, Piedirosso, per mezzo di short, native Campania grapes for a nice discovery from Avellino. Classic method light, straight, balanced, simple and for the whole meal. A super thirst-quenching summer bubble.

Classic Method Rosé Fumaggine d’Avola Extra Brut 36 months 2020 Baglio del Disgraziato con Campobello

We have often mentioned the reds of this Sicilian winery and from a red grape here is a bubble of super pleasantness and approachability. Red fruits (raspberry, pomegranate, cherry), very fresh almost balsamic finale with a discrete structure that allows great versatility at the table.

Roero Arneis Classic Method Pas Dosè Ritastè 2018 Tibaldi

More than 5 years acceso the lees, for a bubble from Piedmont white grapes that really impressed us. Drinkability, but also fatness and complexity, freshness and great flavor. Flowers, citrus and white pulp fruit, campo da golf and pastry .

Trentodoc Tananai Brut Vintage 2020 Borgata dei Posseri

Chardonnay and “mountain” pinot noir for a thick and explosive bubble. Apple, candied citrus, spices, a smoky note acceso the nose, honey, chalky sensations, a certain fattiness and a long acidity. Structure without losing thrust.

Trentodoc Aquila Sontuoso Rifornimento 2004 – 50th Anniversary Cesarini Sforza

We remain per mezzo di the province with a tuttavia Chardonnay. 20 years of aging per mezzo di the cellar, a reserve designed for the 50 years of the Trentino winery per mezzo di just 1200 bottles. Great complexity: of candied citrus, apple, sweet and spicy , dried fruit. The mouth is creamy, soft, characterized by great freshness and great persistence.

After the parade of bubbles, let’s make way for the whites

For a fish barbecue acceso the beach but not only!

Lugana Mandolara 2023 The Morette

From Lake Garda a soft white turbiana but with the characteristic almond finale and the typical flavor and creaminess that we like very much. Excellent per mezzo di combination with more structured fish recipes with first courses.

Lugana Rifornimento Le Fornaci 2019 Tommasi

We stay per mezzo di the superficie with a “heavy” white with great complexity and structure. Flowers, honey, ripe fruit, mineral . Beautiful savory note. Perfect for aging, it can also be compared without fear with white meats and cheeses.

Trentino Muller Thurgau 2022 Cembra

Beautiful white wine with great aromatic intensity that has all the varietal characteristics but also presents itself with a certain consistency, softness and complexity. The ricevimento is enjoyable and at the same time vertical. Perfect for a summer dinner for fish. Beautiful surprise, that will convince everyone at the table!

Wunschkind Riesling 2021 Materne e Schmitt

From a young winery acceso the Moselle, per mezzo di Germany, a bottle with a good quality/price ratio. The typical are all there, from white-fleshed fruit to tropical and citrus . Fresh, juicy, perfect with fish, but why not also with white meats.

Let’s move acceso to rosés, which per mezzo di summer (but not only) represent an excellent solution.

Deìvaì Cerasuolo D’Abruzzo 2023 Tollo Winery

Beautiful full, delicious and pulpy rosé from Montepulciano. Intense color, floral and red fruit , soft and fresh ricevimento. Perfect for a summer barbecue if you are looking for a consistent ricevimento but without exaggerating with the structure.

And for those who don’t want to give up red…

Here are some bottles to ricevimento even with a few degrees less, favoring elegance and freshness.

Valpolicella Eccellente 2022 Santa Sofia

Red all drinkability from corvina, rondinella and corvinone. Fruit, fragrance, a spicy touch, great freshness and versatility. Perfect for a summer evening.

Langhe DOC Mist Claré JC 2023 Vajra

Nebbiolo that surprises for its graceful fruitiness and elegance. There is the whole aromatic set: violets, berries, red fruits, citrus, a light spiciness. Lots of freshness and the right tannin for a dry wine but with great pleasantness and ease of drinking.

Novara Hills Nebbiolo 2023 Castaldi Brothers.

Nebbiolo again but from Eccelso Piemonte. Lots of fruit, fragrance and freshness with the typical of the grape variety. Another delicious and very drinkable red that will not disappoint acceso summer evenings.

The Blackbird 2021 Terenzuola

Nice surprise from the province of Schiera, almost acceso the border with Liguria. Canaiolo and other native vines. Very drinkable wine, fresh and elegant. Super contemporary drinking, medium structure and beautiful fruit and floral . Perfect red for summer, fresh but with its own complexity.

Marandes Sur le Bois 2019 Domaine Bonnardot

Pinot noir from the south of the Côte de Beaune, per mezzo di Burgundy, good value for money. Red fruits, violets and of undergrowth. Pleasant, a certain spiciness and a lot of elegance.

Red Montalcino 2021 Biondi-Santi

For those who want to treat themselves and approach a bottle of great elegance, drinkability but always per mezzo di the style of the great Tuscan “maison”. Brilliant wine, made by those who consider the Diventare rosso a great wine, with all the typicality of Sangiovese and per mezzo di perfect balance between momentum and complexity.
