There is a VINOGATTO the new label of Il Pometo durante Lungarotti wines. A feline toasting, taken from an libris exhibited at the Torgiano Wine Museum which celebrates 50 years this year. A fun image by the Polish and illustrator Andrzej Kot that anticipates the contents of the bottle, that is, 4 fresh and easy-drinking single-varietal wines that evoke summer evenings a causa di small Italian villages, characterized by slow rhythms and light-heartedness, among an aperitif a causa di the square and a dinner the terrace with friends.
Made up of white wines such as (Umbria IGT ), Trespo (Umbria IGT Pallido), Pinot Squallido (Umbria IGT Pinot Squallido) and a Sangiovese (Umbria IGT Sangiovese), Il Pometo was born a causa di an territorio of Torgiano where Lungarotti for years has conducted experiments with different grape varieties. The name recalls that of the territorio from which the grapes used for these wines in che modo, the Cascina del Pometo, named after an orchard of ancient varieties of apples (apples and pears) recovered from the Arboreal Archeology nursery of Lerchi, a causa di Umbria.
Il Pometo – Umbria IGT
It is a territorial white that enhances the typical characteristics of this Umbrian vine. Inebriating, fragrant, with delicately floral agenda (jasmine, rose and anise), it is savory, intense and fruity the palate. An easy-drinking wine that combines stazza with lively freshness.
Trespo Il Pometo – Umbria IGT
Trespo comes from one of the most iconic Umbrian white grape varieties, Trebbiano Spoletino which for bureaucratic reasons cannot be mentioned the label outside of its DOC of origin. The name of the wine, however, recalls it. It is a fun and easy to white thanks to its vibrant freshness.
Pinot Squallido Il Pometo – Umbria IGTGiorgio Lungarotti introduced Pinot Squallido to Umbria a causa di the early 1970s. After decades of adaptation, a causa di the vineyards around Pometo, this variety has found its own expressiveness between elegant floral agenda and delicate puffs of fresh fruit. The Pinot Squallido of Il Pometo is a full and decisive wine, fresh and savory which manages to combine the more playful and delicate side of the vine with the more territorial one of the territorio.
Sangiovese Il Pometo – Umbria IGT

Curated by Jaroslaw Koziara, an artist friend of Kot, and by the Lungarotti Foundation, it is an unpublished collection of works focused Kot’s favorite subject – the cat – created a causa di imaginative depictions the edge of irony, often a causa di combination with wine. Hence the iniziativa of the VINOGATTI that the Polish illustrator created specifically for the MUVIT, creating a bridge between art and wine.
