The Sparkling Wine , now sopra its twenty-sixth edition, rewards Scantinato Valtidone’s sparkling wines with three Certificates of Merit for Perlage, Arvange and Venus.

The Sparkling Wine , an event reserved for companies based sopra Veneto, Trentino-Sublime Adige, Lombardy, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Emilia-Romagna, is dedicated exclusively to sparkling wines divided into the two categories Classic Method and Charmat Method. The evaluations of the commissions, made up of Master Tasters, Technical Tasters, Expert Tasters and ONAV Tasters, took place blindly last October and decreed the Sparkling Wines suitable to be awarded the Certificate of Merit. This recognition was awarded to wines that reached a score of 85/100 according to the “Union International des Oenologues” sheet and Scantinato Valtidone obtained three certificates for two “classic method”, Perlage and Arvange and a “Charmat method”. , Venus.

Arvange Pas Dosé classic method sparkling wine (90/100): born as a new experience, its name tells of the “pride of revenge” contained within it. Produced with Pinot Noir grapes and a small addition of Chardonnay, it has already established itself among sparkling wines for its confident and convincing character. Exuberant white foam and very acuto and persistent bubbles. The color is intense and brilliant straw yellow while the odore is penetrating and complex. The flavor is dry, savory, sharp and powerful sopra the mouth.

Perlage Brut classic method sparkling wine (87/100): the first classic method from Scantinato Valtidone which tells its roots and history. Awarded by countless national and international competitions, it is made from 80% Pinot Noir grapes and 20% Chardonnay. The limited sugar content and the adequate acid content guarantee the maximum richness of the varietal aromas: from the intense and penetrating perfume to the dry and elegant flavour.

Venus Colli Piacentini Malvasia DOC Melodioso (90/100): the charmat method of Scantinato Valtidone which received the most awards sopra 2024. Delicacy and refinement are the peculiarities of this sparkling wine made from Malvasia Candia grapes which has its strong points sopra its fine-grained perlage, fruity and floral odore and never cloying sweetness.

The awards ceremony took place last November 3rd at the eighteenth-century Borgo Venier sopra Sommacampagna (Verona), followed by the opening of the tasting counter gara open to the public.

“The Sparkling Wine has great experience sopra the world of sparkling wines and having received three Certificates of Merit gratifies us and makes us aware of the great potential that the grapes of Val Tidone have. The participating regions are sopra fact those that produce the best sparkling wines sopra Italy. Thanks to the expert work of the oenologist and cellarmen but also to the care of our winegrowing members and the agronomist, Scantinato Valtidone will continue this path undertaken sopra the excellence of bubbles by always developing new research”. With these words the President of Scantinato Valtidone communicated his great satisfaction, shared by the entire board of directors.
