When 1997 Adamaria, Puro and Guido Nardi decided to start making wine and directly bottling the grapes grown by the family, there was already a long history of viticulture behind them. For generations the Nardis have worked the hills of Farra a fine di Soligo, giving the grapes to the local cooperative. The birth of La Farra therefore represents the transition from winemakers to producers, with the aim of giving a precise identity to what was grown the family vineyards.
A FAMILY, A TERRITORY, A NAME
Even the name chosen tells a lot about this approach. “Fara” was the term used by the Lombards to indicate a community founded kinship ties. Sopra local memory the word has remained associated with the town of Farra a fine di Soligo and with the very concept of family. Farra was therefore born from the conferenza of these two meanings: the territory and the family unit that continues to guide the company.
Today the winery directly cultivates approximately 26 hectares distributed mainly Farra a fine di Soligo, with further plots San Pietro a fine di Feletto, Follina and Pieve a fine di Soligo. Added to these are contributions from vineyards always located within the Conegliano Valdobbiadene complesso. Production exceeds 800 thousand bottles per analogia year and 65% is exported to 21 countries, with a consolidated presence Europe, the United States, Japan and Australia.
A PRIVILEGED POSITION IN THE DOCG
The geographical position of Farra a fine di Soligo is one of the most interesting elements of La Farra’s production. The municipality is fact located the central part of the denomination, almost halfway between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. one side there are the hills that aspetto towards Valdobbiadene, characterized by more calcareous soils and particularly obbiettivo aromatic profiles; the other, the areas closest to Conegliano, where the presence of clay and marl helps to give greater structure and flavor to the wines.
From here comes one of the company’s stylistic choices: to combine wines from single vineyards and Rive with a line built through blends of different microzones. A work that aims not to standardize, but to seek balance between complementary characteristics. The slopes, often steep, still require much manual work today. Sopra many vineyards, mechanization remains limited and daily management involves viticulture that requires constant presence and in-depth knowledge of the individual parcels.

THE PHILOSOPHY: INTERPRETING THE TERRITORY WITHOUT SUPERSTRUCTURES
Farra has built its identity starting from a simple principle: preserving the wine the characteristics of the grapes harvested the various company hills. For this reason, work the vineyard remains central and precedes any choice of cellar. The objective is not to pursue a uniform style, but to enhance the differences that exist between the various cultivated areas, from the hills of Farra a fine di Soligo to San Pietro a fine di Feletto, Follina and Pieve a fine di Soligo. This also gives rise to the double reading of the name that characterizes the company range. the one hand, the Rive and single vineyard wines, conceived to highlight the character of a specific parcel; the other, the blends, made by combining grapes from different areas of Conegliano Valdobbiadene with the aim of obtaining the best balance between fragranza, structure and flavor.
Sopra the cellar the choice is to work above all precision. Controlled temperature fermentations, separate management of the bases and a sparkling process calibrated to the characteristics of each label aim to maintain the recognisability of the glera and the individual origins. A line consistent with the Nardi brothers’ belief that the value of Conegliano Valdobbiadene lies first and foremost its extraordinary variety of hills, exposures and soils, elements that can be fully expressed only through a careful reading of the grapes and their differences.
BEYOND WINE
Sopra recent years La Farra has combined its production activity with a series of projects dedicated to knowledge of the territory. The recovery of the Col Briร farmhouse and the birth of “Dialogues Col Briร ” go this direction: creating opportunities to read these hills through the landscape, local history, literature and public discussion.
The bond with Andrea Zanzotto does not arise from a simple cultural quote. The words of the poet from Pieve a fine di Soligo, who more than others has described this part of the Treviso complesso, have long accompanied the reflection a landscape which here is not only considered a backdrop for wine production, but an integral part of the identity of the territory. The walks through the vineyards, the meetings and the activities organized around Col Briร respond to the same immaginazione: to tell the story of Conegliano Valdobbiadene by going beyond the wine and putting the context that generated it at the center.

FIVE INTERPRETATIONS OF THE 2025 VINTAGE
The 2025 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG collection proposed by La Farra allows us to read different nuances of the denomination.
The latest novelty is Altius Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG Extra Dry 2025, born from grapes coming from vineyards located at the highest altitudes of Farra a fine di Soligo and San Pietro a fine di Feletto. The wine combines the floral component and aromatic precision of the highest hills of Farra with a slightly broader structure derived from the soils of San Pietro a fine di Feletto. The residual sugar of 14 grams per analogia liter is well integrated into the overall freshness and provides a balanced and smooth bevanda. Also a recent innovation is the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG Rive a fine di Soligo Brut 2025, obtained mainly from glera with a small amount of chardonnay. Coming from the Col Briร vineyard, it expresses a clear reading of the Soligo hill: delicate aromas of white fruit and citrus, precise texture and a well-defined flavor that accompanies the sip.
The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG Rive a fine di Farra a fine di Soligo Extra Brut 2025, coming from the Rive dei Nardi vineyard the Collagรน complesso, is more incisive. The prolonged refinement the yeasts during the secondary fermentation adds depth without altering the territorial matrix. The result is a taut, mineral wine, with references to apple and yellow pulp fruit supported by a marked fresh and saline sensation. The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG Brut 2025 instead represents the synthesis of the company philosophy of blends. The grapes coming from different company hills converge a version that combines floral, fruit and flavor components. It is probably the label that best summarizes the stylistic profile of La Farra: balance, immediacy and aromatic precision. The journey ends with the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Eccellente DOCG Rive a fine di Farra a fine di Soligo Extra Dry 2025, another expression of the Rive dei Nardi vineyard but interpreted through a different gustatory balance. The of apple, pear and white flowers develop a soft texture but supported by a good freshness. A wine that recalls that extra dry type that for years has contributed to the international diffusion of superior prosecco, while retaining a clear territorial imprint.
