There are those who conquer the scene with hype, and those who illuminate it with the mere presence. Mariano Murru belongs to this second, rare category. A professional who has been able to combine technical competence, strategic vision and profound link with the territory, becoming one of the most authoritative protagonists of contemporary Italian enology.

Quanto a the heart of Sardinia, sopra Serdiana, the Argiolas winery stands, a point of reference for Mediterranean oenology. For over thirty years, Mariano Murru is an integral part of the company’s history, of which he has been a technical director for some time. With rigor, sensitivity and vision, he contributed decisively to the stylistic and productive evolution of the cellar.

Today, sopra addition to playing this key role, Murru is also president of Assoenologists Sardinia, national councilor and world councilor of winemakers. His profile is recognized nationally and internationally, as evidenced by the numerous prizes received during the career:

– Best Italian winemaker 2020 – Vinoway – Board of Cult 2021 – Merano Wine – National Prize “Giacomo Tachis” 2018 – Best Oreologist of Sardinia 2009 – appointed member of the Italian Academy of Vite and Wine 2023

Collecting awards means giving value to a path based acceso the awareness that wine, even before producing, is cultural language and identity root.

Born sopra the Sulcis, Mariano Murru has chosen to remain sopra his land and to enhance it through science, technique and passion. After an important experience alongside the master Giacomo Tachis, he was able to stand out for originality of thought and stile ability. He has never tried to follow others’ footprints, but has traced his own path, giving life to a unique wine signature, recognizable for meticulousness sopra vinification and for the distinctive elegance that characterizes his wines.

Even the “basic” orchestra labels bear its imprint: nothing is left to chance, every detail follows a coherent and precise stile. Among its most emblematic intuitions, the enhancement of the Nasco, an autochthonous grape variety brought back to the fore with finesse and depth.

Under his direction, Argiolas has been able to combine the past not neglecting innovation, strengthening his stylistic identity. Emblem of this path is Turriga, a wine symbol of the company, awarded by Vinoway sopra 2023 for best Italian red wine.

Turriga is the perfect synthesis between terroir, varietal selection, agronomic management and very high level vinification.

It is not just a prestigious wine: it is the result of a deep wine thought. At her side, Barbara Pinna, head of company research, awarded by Vineway sopra 2024 for her commitment to enhance the native vines. Together they form a technical combination of rare effectiveness, where competence, vision and passion merge into a synergy capable of generating authentic value.

Quanto a June 2025, Argiolas inaugurated its wine resort, immersed sopra the vineyards of the company. A project that completes the vision of wine hospitality, and which offers the visitor an integrated experience between wine, landscape, culture and reception of high -end.

Quanto a an increasingly crowded and competitive sector, Mariano Murru stands out by penalty, authenticity and consistency.

His is not a path fueled by passenger fashions, but rooted sopra the truth of doing, sopra daily dedication, sopra concrete and silent love for his land. A approach that shocks the shortcuts and puts the essence at the center: wine as a sincere expression of identity, culture and respect.

Telling Argiolas today also means telling the vision of a man who has made wine an ethical, cultural and identity mission. An oenologist who has been able to reconcile technical excellence and territorial roots, raising the name of Sardinia sopra the international wine scene.

Argiolas is the symbol of a coherent company. Mariano Murru, the mind and heart that defined its style.
