77 large gold medals and 221 gold medals assigned among the over 1000 wines quanto a competition: this is the outcome of the tasting commissions gathered quanto a recent days quanto a Sarre (Aosta) for the 33rd edition of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes. For the only wine competition quanto a the world dedicated to mountain viticulture, quanto a strong slope ora quanto a the small islands and organized annually by Cervim – research center, studies, safeguarding, coordination and enhancement for mountain viticulture, 2025 also marks an important novelty: participation for the first time of Albania, awarded with two gold medals.

There were also 17 special prizes alongside the medals: the Cervim Grand Prix and the Vinofed Award at the Dop Avvallamento de Güímar Brumas de Ayosa Blanco Seco 2024 of Sat Viticultores Comarca de Güímar (Arafo, Tenerife), the wine that has obtained the best score ever and the best dry wine of the competition. The Cervim Special Prize went to the Terres des Templiers Vitivine companies (Banyuls Sur Mer, Pyrenei Orientali), Weingut Reis – Feine Weine! (Briedel, Mosella), the Crotta of Vegneron Coop. Agricultural (Chambave, Avvallamento d’Aosta), Sat Viticultures Comarca de Güímar (Arafo, Tenerife) and Domaine Jean-René Germanier (glassz, Cantone Vallese). The Aop Banyulli Trada Traditionnel Fauve 2014 of Terres des Templiers, the Mosselgold Riesling Riesling Frutchig Süß 2021 of Weingut Reis – Feine Weine!, The Calabria Santa Trada 2024 of the house Vinicola Crisà srl, the Dop Avvallamento de Güímar Brumas de Ayosa Tinto Joven 2024 of Sat have been awarded the premium award Viticultures Comarca de Güímar and the AOC Valais Amigne de Vétroz Mitis 2022 by Domaine Jean-René Germanier. The Cervim Future Prize was awarded to Federico Broglia, the best young wine -growing young man at the helm of Domaine Valleise (Arnad, Avvallamento d’Aosta). The Cervim Piccole Islands prize went to the Sicilian Igt Terre Cava dell’Quattrini 2024 of the Hibiscus farm (Ustica, Sicily), the Cervim Women’s Award to Maria Antonietta Melis who together with the sisters Emanuela and Roberta leads the Eminas Ssa company (Mamoiada, Sardinia), then the original cervim prize produced with rails of variety foot Coraggioso Islas Canarias Conatvs Airam 2024 of Bodegas Conatvs (Lajares, Fuerteventura) and, finally, the World Des Vins Extrêmes prize the Canary Islands, the wine luogo that participated with the largest number of references.
At the same time, the fifth edition of Extreme Spirits International Contest was held, an international competition dedicated to distillates from marc, fucce and wine that aims to also enhance the respective production areas. Excellent results obtained: among the 61 distillates quanto a the race, from Italy, Spain and Peru, 20 large gold medals and 2 special prizes were attributed. The Distilled Spirits that obtained the best absolute score, the Avvallamento de Güímar Brumas de Ayosa Vermut Blanco 2024 of Sat Viticultores Comarca de Güímar (Arafo, Tenerife), was awarded the Valley, while won the Excellence Prize Extreme Spirits the Pisco Viña de Los Campos Mosto Essere al verde Italy of Productora Viña de Los Campos Sac (Cruccio, Peru) for best distillate of wine.
