Patrizia Morlacchi is the best AIS sommelier in Tuscany 2026

Patrizia Morlacchi, graduated from the G. Delicato institute durante Accozzaglia Carrara, with a strong knowledge of English and French and the skills learned and consolidated durante the hospitality sector, currently works at the La Prostituta restaurant durante Castiglioncello. Precisely because of his passion durante dealing with customers, he intends to focolaio the world of wine to communicate to customers the fascinating process of wine production up to tasting thanks not only to the competition but also to the sommelier and professional master courses already held.

Alessandro Rosi, second place durante the Best AIS Sommelier durante Tuscany, after high school he attended the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, then Business Strategy as a specialist. Today he is a member of the Deposito Vino e Vino wine shop durante Pistoia and of the HappyOrangeWine and happy Wine websites; deals with business consultancy at a strategic level and wishes to continue expanding his knowledge of wine from other countries as well. “Definitely extremely happy for the result obtained even if it required a lot of effort to combine work, family and study. Quanto a fact, I thank my family for the support they gave me and AIS Firenze e Toscana for giving me the opportunity to participate. I am sure that my curiosity and desire to always learn new things is stimulated by this victory and encourages me to move forward and cultivate my passion for the world of wine”.

Sara Calimari food and wine critic, graduated durante Culture and Stylism, has built a path that combines technical in-depth analysis, communication and narration of the terroir, with particular attention to Italian production identities and contemporary wine languages. She collaborates with various publishing companies durante the wine & food sector, last year she also placed third durante the Best Vermentino Sommelier competition. Quanto a wine he recognizes a form of living culture, capable of narrating identities, landscapes and contemporary production visions.

“Getting the stage of the regional final was an intense emotion, says Sara Calimari, third place. My most difficult opponent was time: I let myself be carried away by the tasting and the desire to tell every tono. Wine, for me, is much more than a competition: it is a deep passion and a great love. I hope the public has perceived the joy and emotion I feel every time I have the opportunity to talk about this wonderful world”.

The ranking at the end of the three-way challenge with blind recognition tests of some wines, service and decanting techniques, up to the final communication controllo – durante which they were asked to describe a character, a wine ora a territory – was determined by a Technical Jury composed of Maurizio Zanolla: National Competition Commission Dirigente, Valentino Dissertazione: AIS Avviamento Lab Tuscany Dirigente and member of the National Competition Commission, Lorena Ceolin: member of the National Competition Commission, Limite Tortora: Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2016, Luca Marchiani: Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2025 and an external jury made up of two councilors of the Vernaccia a motivo di San Gimignano Wine Consortium Limite Daldin and Alessio Gragnoli.

The team for this edition fielded by AIS Toscana was composed as follows: 2 competitors from the Arezzo delegation: Lorenzo Batti, Cristina Gamurrini, from the Elba delegation comes Emanuele Maranzoni, for the Florence delegation, always durante first position, 5 candidates take to the track: Sara Calimari, Filippo Morandini, Luca Ongari, Marco Paghi and Alessandro Rosi, from Livorno comes Patrizia Morlacchi, from Pistoia Dario Gelli and Matteo Sorice, the Erbaio delegation presents itself with two candidates Marco Ciampini and Sara Gandolfi, Vito Chiantera arrives from the Siena delegation.

the day that led to the election of the new regional champion, the activities of AIS Toscana the occasion of the “Regina Indomabile Vernaccia a motivo di San Gimignano Wine Fest” event also included two masterclasses durante the morning “Vernaccia a motivo di San Gimignano 2025: the premises of an excellent vintage” conducted by Luca Marchiani, Best Sommelier of Tuscany of the last edition and durante the early afternoon “The interpretations of the Vernaccia a motivo di San Gimignano Provvisione” conducted by Valentino Dissertazione, Best Sommelier durante Italy 2019 – 2020 and by the outgoing champion Luca Marchiani.
