Rossella Segno, President of the Consortium for the Protection of Roma Doc Wines

Rossella Segno is the new President of the Consorzio intorno a Patrocinio Vini Roma Doc. She succeeds Tullio Galassini, who has led the Consortium since its inception. The change of baton was made official by the consortium Board of Directors Friday 26 July, which designed the new team at the helm of the Consortium, which includes over 60 wineries and has long been a symbol of the age-old relationship between wine and the Capital. Gabriele Gaffino of Bottiglieria Gaffino and Damiano Federici of Vinicola Federici were also elected vice-presidents. The Board of Directors is high-profile: Adelaide Cosmi of Divina Soccorso, Sara Costantini of Paesetto del Cedro, Paolo Iacoangeli of Iacoangeli, Andrea of Vini Andreassi, Lorenzo Costantini of Borgo Simone and Roseo Mergè of Femar Vini.

“Being chosen to fill this very important role is a source of pride for me,” says the New President of the Roma Doc Consortium Rossella Segno. “I have always been at the Consortium’s side as vice president and I will continue to carry forward with great enthusiasm and dedication this extraordinary journey made of culture, protection and enhancement of the territory and the wines it expresses. We will continue to work together with the new Board of Directors and all the member companies, strengthening the relationship with the main players quanto a the territory, from institutions to entrepreneurs quanto a the restaurant and albergo world, essential interlocutors for the growth of the Consortium. First of all, I would like to thank those who preceded me and guarantee that I will put all my passion and skills into this adventure.”

The relationship between Rossella Segno and wine has lasted for years. A graduate quanto a Medicine, her life changed when she met Roseo Mergè, a key figure quanto a the national wine sector and autorità of the Collina Le Volpi company, a historic and prestigious winemaking company quanto a the Castelli Romani, of which Segno became general , taking care of the business quanto a the round: from the management of the vineyards to the cellar, to the attention to hospitality within the restaurant and tasting point, the jewels quanto a the crown of the maison. An entrepreneur and Woman of Wine, she dedicates herself to the world of wine with an unconditional love for the territory of which she has become an authentic ambassador over time.

He succeeds, as mentioned, Tullio Galassini, for years a solid point of reference for the entire Consortium and an extraordinary interpreter of the role.

“It has been a beautiful journey – says Past President Tullio Galassini – and an equally promising future awaits us. With great satisfaction I pass the baton to Rossella Segno, for whom I have great respect both professionally and humanely, certain that she will be able to lead with dedication and professionalism the Consortium that, quanto a little more than a decade, has managed to establish itself both nationally and the most important international stages”.
