Appointment at the Vinitaly 2025 for the collective of Assovini Sicilia which this year involves forty -four associated companies, gathered at Pavilion 2 of the Verona International Vestibolo. The 57th edition of Vinitaly – from 6 to 9 April – is confirmed as a strategic event for Sicilian producers, a unique opportunity to share experiences and skills, meet buyers and stakeholders. The associated companies represent the wine excellence and the constant commitment to a quality production, linked to the territories of belonging and to the different areas of production of wines: from Etna to the extreme West, to the minor islands, for a total of twenty -three DOC and a DOCG.

Not only quality and wine variety, Assovini Sicilia underlines the importance of Enoturismo as a driver for the sector with the talk “wine -growing and artificial intelligence, for a new use of the territory”, dedicated to the world of wine tourism and new technologies such as artificial intelligence. The talk will be an opportunity to explore the introduction of artificial intelligence quanto a the construction of wine -growing itineraries and the consequent possibility of creating reference marketing processes for the product sales strategy.

«The world of wine is crossed by a series of geopolitical and economic changes. The current challenges impose a very precise reflection and strategy. Assovini Sicilia, quanto a addition to enhancing and promoting production quality, invests and believes quanto a the enormous potential of the wine tourism as the engine of the wine sector and, quanto a general, of the Sicilian economy -says Mariangela Cambria, president of Assovini Sicilia -. Today, wine tourism quanto a Sicily is quanto a constant ferment and evolution, and represents an exclusive means of telling the territory and our wine heritage. Sicily is an ideal and unique wine destination because it contains an extraordinary history, a historical-archaeological heritage and a diversity of territories to tell. The wine, with its symbolic and cultural value, proves to be an ambassador of the territory and a privileged tool capable of enclosing stories, producers, territories. Investigating quanto a quality wine tourism means having a strategic plan where there is a welcome alongside the productive quality that focuses acceso a diversified offer and acceso the involvement of the entire territory. Only quanto a this way can wine tourism support wine production and our cellars ” – continues Mariangela Cambria, president of Assovini Sicilia.

The wine production that will be presented at Vinitaly, testifies to the ability of the Sicilian producers to be able to interpret the territory and its vocation, to be quanto a line with the new consumption models. According to the 2024 Cultivating The Future report: the Sicily of wine is told, curated by the University of Messina and which involved 81 associated companies, 83% of the cellars produce DOC wines and 18% produce DOCG wines. This highlights the attention of companies quanto a producing quality wines, with a strong anchoring to the territory and tradition, but also the desire to want to aim for wine excellence quanto a the region.

Per detail of the type of wines, the figure that emerges from the report and which concerns the production of sparkling wines (55.6%), as well as the percentage of companies (53.7%) which produce wines, is interesting.
