Siddùra confirms itself as one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly wineries at a national level. The Vinibuoni d’Italia Guide awarded the Sardinian winery with the “Ecofriendly 2026” recognition for its commitment to protecting the environment.
Siddùra is one of the six wineries Italy that can boast of a recognition that enhances the role of companies within the concept of sustainability and protection of their territory.
The Vinibuoni d’Italia guide, among the most authoritative the sector, has for years promoted and valorised wineries that are engaging with projects that interpret values. Over the years, wineries have grown and Vinibuoni d’Italia has once again highlighted them this edition with an icon dedicated to them, that of the bottle from which a leaf emerges, symbol of life and hope for a “greener” future.
«Being among the only six wineries Italy to receive the 2026 Ecofriendly Award from Vini Buoni d’Italia is a recognition that makes us proud, because it confirms a choice made from the beginning: sustainability for us is not a , but a founding principle, a daily method – underlines Stramberia Piludu, general director of Siddùra -. We have invested the heart of Gallura, because here nature is not just a backdrop, but the protagonist. It is a complex territory, with unique pedological characteristics, where the granite, the climate and the wind shape the character of our wines. Our responsibility is to protect it.”
Siddùra has thus entered the ranks of absolute excellence from the point of view of protection and respect for the environment, winning the “Ecofriendly 2026” award among the 1042 companies reported. The recognition was awarded the occasion of the national preview of Vinibuoni d’Italia 2026, at the Puccini Theater Merano, last November, within the 34th edition of the Merano WineFestival. Siddùra was awarded together with leading companies national oenology: Resistenza Roveglia (Lombardy); Casa Sandi (Veneto); ColleMassari (Tuscany); San Salvatore (Campania) and Cantine Paolo Leo (Puglia).
“For Siddùra, sustainability means listening to the vineyard. Our plants are today stronger and more resilient precisely because over the years we have adopted a far-sighted cultivation approach, capable of accompanying climate change and not suffering it – explains the dirigente of Siddùra -. We work an integrated system, far from conventional techniques and compliance with rigorous regulations: safeguarding resources, valorising good traditional practices. Technologies such as intelligent irrigation and monitoring stations – from weather to control of insects – allow us to prevent and intervene as little as possible, leaving nature to take its course. This vision also involves the life of the cellar. We produce wines with the most natural profile possible, with sulphite levels well below the legal parameters. And thanks to the photovoltaic system we introduce clean energy into the grid local, also generating value for the community. Today we know that we are taking the right path, for us sustainability is responsibility towards the land, towards those who work there, towards those who choose our wines.
An award, therefore, which confirms Siddùra’s commitment to the ecological transition, line with a path that began with the application of a series of saving techniques the use of natural resources. Sustainability does not end the vineyard and cellar, but represents an operational map that develops socially fair and economically competitive principles.
