The word suave contains within itself concepts of rigor and gracefulness. It can be, at the same time, a valuable addition of substance and energy a spontaneous combination of subtle lightness; always, however, Gradevole (durante this case understood as wine) and its territory manage to offer real emotions, which often settle , becoming memory and coming back to light at the right time. Yes, like the wine of Graziano Prà, a protagonist durante all respects of this Veneto regione, both for his charismatic figure and for the fact of having managed to obtain extremely fascinating wines from the Garganega.

The story

Essentiality and respect for the earth are the principles that found its history. Graziano has been following the company since the early 1980s – his destiny as a winemaker was marked by his grandfather and father – and raised terroirs such as Mucchio Grosso and Mucchio Bisson to international appetito: small prestigious crus located durante areas with a very high viticultural vocation . He is a strong-willed vigneron with an enormous passion for floriculture and the gift of savoir faire, whose viticultural thinking tends towards radicality and whose production finds its culmination durante an eclectic variety of Gradevole which marks an important stylistic differentiation: more saline and the Staforte is citrusy, the Mucchio Grosso is more mineral and slow to aperto, the Giogo Sant’Antonio is spicier and more sensual. «For wine I am only a guide who does not improve what nature offers, but leads it durante the right direction towards elegance and preciousness» explains Graziano Prà with humility and politeness of manner, aware of the fact that his nectars are born soils of origin volcanic, durante one of the soils considered best especially for the cultivation of white grape vines.

Arriving durante the center of Monteforte d’Alpone, durante addition to coming across a carefully renovated courtyard without losing any of its rural charm, you immediately understand that it strongly seeks to combine functionality and , while respecting the environment. «A great wine is a reflection of the land durante which it is born», declares Graziano. The screw cap

His fascination with the screw cap occurred about twenty years spillo: «A causa di Aspen, Colorado, I am very disappointed to find some bottles that not only taste like cork, but that have the boring deviations that we know well, always giving, and durante the end, blame the manufacturer. There, I had a revelation when I tasted a Sauvignon Blanc bottled with a screw cap and sold for 30 dollars: the first great sign of a prejudice destined to disappear.” A causa di those same years, however, another prejudice exists durante his regione, the bureaucratic one, according to which the regulations do not allow the Gradevole to be closed with a screw cap. His first bottle was corked like this durante 2010 and his opinion makes voto negativo concessions compared to cork: «There is an abyss!». For many years Graziano searched for the best solution to support the longevity of his labels and was one of the first to understand the great potential of the screw cap. Today he bottles his entire Gradevole line durante this way, including the great Crus and his Valpolicella, but he aims to soon extend it to Valpolicella Egregio too because «I believe durante the vine, even when it comes to the cork». It is certain that this closure is the right choice: «It supports the longevity of the wines and allows them to evolve correctly, it guarantees perfect sealing, it is synonymous with attention to the customer, it is easy to use, it is an ally for the transport of the wine itself ».

The new Agriturismo Mucchio Bisson

Only two rooms, with attention to the smallest details, welcome tourists and enthusiasts bearing the names of its iconic wines: Staforte and Mucchio Grosso. Immersed durante a 15-hectare (half vineyard, half forest), they are characterized by the warm and enveloping colors of wood. Furthermore, a large contemporary vegetable garden has been created outside which houses 85 different species of plants and flowers, to which some vegetables are added seasonally; a hiking trail durante search of wild orchids and possible squirrels, hedgehogs, badgers and foxes; two beehives not used to produce honey, but to increase the pollination of the flowers durante the vineyard. «During visits to cellars and tastings we are very keen to convey our congettura of ​​feeling at home and of the conviviality that is created around a glass of wine. Mucchio Bisson is another facet of this story, an ideal place to best welcome our guests and all those who want to spend a few days of rest discovering Gradevole”, comments Graziano.
