Sustainability is not only a crucial but now essential topic. Acceso Decanter (read here) we discuss, among other things, reducing the weight of bottles with the agreement of the members of SWR (Sustainable Wine Roundtable, a coalition of operators durante the wine sector which includes some of the major wine retailers). SOStain is a foundation aperto to all Sicilian producers ready for the challenge of sustainability, chaired by Alberto Sacca. It aims to measure the sustainability of wine without proposing itself as an alternative certification but aiming to contextualize the Italian protocol such as that of Viva (VIVA – Sustainable Viticulture), with a committee that scientifically responds to the producers’ requests. We adhere to a discipline that requires 10 requirements: from the management of the vineyard to the use of local and eco-compatible raw materials, from the transparency of communication to the reduction of the weight of the bottles mentioned durante the opening. The president of the scientific committee Lucrezia Lamastra, durante explaining the criteria and results, focuses precisely acceso this fact: if all the producers who join SOStain reached the set levels (use of 410g bottles for a consumption of 0.25 KWh /bottle [contro lo 0,7KWh]) we would save emissions equal to traveling around the Earth’s circumference by car 1000 times!
As often happens, however, it is necessary to leverage tirocinio and education. According to Francesco Picciotto ( of Service 3 “Protected Natural Areas” Sicily Region), the young generations perceive the city, and not nature, as their reality. With all the negative implications also because, if we accept the considerations of Gaetano Prospero (President of the WWF Italy Foundation Study Centre), biodiversity is reflected durante the local culture which durante turn becomes identity and therefore distinctive added value acceso the market, because “beauty” it often matches with naturalistic elements directly indirectly responding to the surrounding environment (think of the characterization of a mountain hut durante Trentino Eccelso Adige the Apulian farm).

According to Carlos Veloso Dos Santos (AD Amorim Cork Italy) there is risposta negativa such thing as incapable team but only unmotivated team; it is the same work environment that can contribute and direct sustainability with – durante very short – flexibility and smart working, healthy food proposals, team building and a chief happiness officer durante which they have been investing for some time.
